>>>Jackie Simson<<

I entered my room quickly, anxious to look around. The bed seemed like a master bed, fit for perfectly 3 or even 4 people! A large, wide drawer sat in front of the room with a flat screen TV hanging from the top. Speakers were sitting on each side of the drawer and stuffed dolls were sittin on top of the drawer. A nightstand was right next to the head of my bed. Did I mention that there was a stairway leading to the huge bed? I loved my room so much. I even had my own bathroom!

The carpet was so fluffy that each step I took, it felt like walking on clouds!

I breathed in the smell of lemon drops and and sighed appreciatively, I owed Allyza.

I began to prepare and pack my clothes in the wooden drawers. Once I opened a drawer, inside, a tray immediately popped up, standin up from the drawer itself, giving me more room to put other things in there. My jaw dropped. What else was there, a robotic maid willing to tuck me in bed?

I put  my worn-out clothes inside, and found that there was a billion more space left. Maybe I could shop for more clothes... NO, it's embarassing because what if they think that ever since I came into a rich family I wanted to get all the things that I wanted. No. They would think I'm using them.

There was a light knock on my door, as a head slowly peeked inside, Joseph.

"Uhh...., can I come in orrr...?" He asked awkwardly, pursing his lips once again.

"Aria... if I were you, I wouldn't spend too much time in the mansion. Go meet some friends, not that you don't have any friends! But... try staying outdoors more often. You'll be joining the same school as us so try to join some dances, join sports, anything to keep you occupied outside" Joseph ordered. I raised an eyebrow. The air suddenly became cold, and it seemed like Joseph was becoming agitated.

"Why? What's wrong? Joseph, what happened?" I asked. I didn't want to be nosy, but this family is getting creepy enough to make my bones shiver.

He looked at me, his eyes almost all showing pity, sadness, and worry... just like Jessie.

Joseph stood up as if controlling his intensity and walked out, but stopped right in the middle of the doorway, and whispered, "You have no idea what lies in this mansion"

I stood in my room like a statue, what the heck had just happened?

Before I could reply to him or chase after him for answers, the lights from my room died out and my huge window at the side of my room burst open in such force that the glass shattered completely.

I jumped back so hard that I stumbled and landed right on the heel of my foot.

My heart pounded and my foot throbbed as the pain stabbed me. I may have sprained my ankle. I looked around, but could see nothing except the moonlight from the window.

The air became like winter. I shivered from the cold.

I crept toward the window, trying to make it shut, but my ankle seemed to be disobeying and bringing me back down on the ground, stumbling.

I struggled from the pain and to focusing on what was happening. My window burst open right when the lights flickered off, the glass shattered, and I sprained my ankle.

I tried to scream Allyza's name, Joseph's, and then Jessie's, but there was no response. Tears began to well in my eyes, threatening to spill.

"Ghh... ouhhhh" A voice whispered in my ear. I froze, listening carefully and letting panic take over me.

"Gehh-ouhhhhh" It whispered again. I screamed and tried to crawl away from the sound, but it was as if it were inside my head, or like a little mist following me.

At first, I thought it was random words, but it became clearer and no longer a whisper, but became a shout.

"Get out!" It shrieked. I screamed my lungs out.

Suddenly, the lights flickered on right when I spotted a shadowy figure mist out of my room and out the window. The window immediately shut right when it escaped and the glass pieced back together as if it were never broken. In a few seconds, the room gathered itself together and finally looked like the room that I entered in my very first time a few moments ago.

I breathed heavily, tears soaked on my face and m heart beating fast nonstop.

"What the heck just happened..." I thought to myself.

I stood up but then stumbled back down. I forgot about my sprained ankle.

"Joseph!" I called. I heard footsteps headed toward my room and Joseph came in, a questioning look on his face.

"Do you  need anyth-why are you on the ground and why are you crying?" He asked, his eyes widening at the view of me.

"What do you mean 'You have no idea what lies in this mansion'? Also, can you get mom?" I asked.

He hesitated then left the room to get Allyza. I didn't want to tell him what happened because he might think I'm mad. I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for all this. Maybe Eric, my youngest brother pulled a prank on me... a very good prank on me.

I looked down my ankle and muttered, " What lies in this mansion?"

Alright, that's the end of chapter 3! As I told you, the story would escalate quick, and it did. Things are going to get busy in my day so I'm sorry if it takes a long time for me to post another chapter. I'll try to post some in my free time. Meanwhile, please comment on what you think! I'll try to make the story intense, and thrilling!

Question of the day: What to do you think lies in the Jacksons' mansion?
