The drive took hours, but I don't think Allyza noticed. She seemed to look hungover from so many drinks last night. I feel bad for her, Stephen probably encouraged her to drink.

Elizabeth and I didn't talk very much. The fact that getting out of the state and traveling someplace random could have been so new to Elizabeth. Same with me, she hasn't been outside for who knows how long.

Elizabeth shook my shoulder and I jolted awake, my eyes still adjusting to the new scene. It felt as if my eyelids were about to collapse from weight, but my whole body seemed to be ready.

        "Hmm.... yeah?"

"We're here. Now, wait for me to check if everything looks safe. I'll get the guards." Elizabeth noted and left the car, leaving the air conditioner the only sound that i heard.

I leant my head against the window and sighed. I finally got somewhere. I finally have a source, hopefully.

I put the palm of my sweaty hands on the conditioner to let it dry off. Ever since we started the travel, I felt like a nervous wreck. I wouldn't dare show it because Elizabeth would reconsider. I didn't want her to reconsider, I also couldn't tell her the truth, I had no guts to. This could be my only resource and I didn't want to change that.

I peered out the window. The sky was foggy, as if they were cotton that got drenched in dirty water.

The window was cold, everytime I touched it, my finger left a fogging mark.

The house we arrived looked vacant. It was as if somebody moved away, leaving the house uncleaned and it stayed like that forever.

I saw Elizabeth approach each window, peering inside carefully. Then she touched the window and... sniffed it?

I could tell she was hesitating. Is there something wrong?

She pulled out her phone while twisting the end of her shirt nervously. She then pressed a few buttons and inclined the face of the phone to her ear. She looked around as if suspecting someone was watching and then stared back at the door.

I shifted in my seat, uncomfortable of her actions. If something was wrong the whole travel was useless.. It would have been a waste.

I curled my lip at the thought.

Her lips moved in a speed that seemed imposseble to do even for a rapper. Elizabeth's mouth stopped as she listened to a reply, nodded, and then snapped the phone shut while putting it in her pocket.

I sat up, wide awake. Are we able to get inside?

Elizabeth came back and opened the door to let me out.

"Okay... the house looks okay. It doesn't look safe, yet, it doens't look dangerous either. I called the guards to watch the house and guard all of our cars. So, in other words, we can go inside as long as the guards are watching us. I'll stay close behind. You do the work" She ordered, helping me out of the car and shut the door while locking it also.

I gulped. What if something bad happens? What if this isn't the right place? What if... I stopped myself from getting more bad thoughts. This has to be the house. After all, it's the right address.

I crossed my fingers, praying that whoever lives in this house knows Jackie.

We slowly walked toward the house. Of course, because we weren't sure about this and this is probably the first time we've ever been to another person's house.
