Speaking Is Power

I know I haven't posted an actual chapter in 2 weeks. This chapter was extremely hard for me to write because I was feeling unmotivated and had a bad case of writer's block. But I finally got it out. Sorry it's a little shorter than normal. I've planned the next chapter already so expect to get chapters regularly again. Enjoy!

 I slowly stood up, and grabbed the glass of water I had spoken into existence, and took a small sip. I was disappointed the water wasn't the best water I had ever had.

"How does the water taste?"

"Like regular ass water." I replied.

"Oh alright. Finish drinking the water and let's go." I downed the water and we left and walked to Annita's office. She was reading papers on her desk when we walked in and glanced up at us.

"What is it lassies?"

"We figured out Torana's power." Her face lit up and a smile spread across her face. I smiled in response to her happiness.

"Oh really? That's great lassy! I'll call some of the members here to celebrate." She put her hand to her ear and asked a group to come to her office. Fia and I sat in Annita's chairs while we waited for everyone to show up.

"So lassy, what's your power?"

"The ability to speak things into existence." Her eyebrows rose.

"You'll have to show me when everyone shows up. I've never heard of that before." I nodded my agreement as the door opened. Yov was the first one in, followed by Taylor, Zax, and two people I didn't recognize.

"What's up?" Taylor asked.

"Torana's power has awakened."

"Congratulations!" Everyone came to give me hug and congratulate me like I told them I just got engaged. The two strangers congratulated me last and introduced themselves.

"I'm Grievous." An average height, black haired Asian man told me and shook my hand.

"Torana."

"And I'm Alexa." The curvy brunette woman said standing beside him said. I shook her hand as well and smiled.

Once introductions and congratulations were over Annita slapped her desk and got everyone's attention.

"So Torana, what's your power?" She asked again.

"I have the ability to speak things into existence." Silence fell across the room for a second before everyone started asking questions at once.

"Are you sure?"

"How do you do it?"

"Can you show us?"

"I've never heard of that, is that even real or are you misinterpreting it?"

"Y'all need to shut up." Annita didn't raise her voice or try to be heard over the questions but everyone fell silent. "Now, how about we all head to the Power Chamber and let her demonstrate." She then got up and walked out, leading the way to the Power Chamber.

We followed her and once we were in the room they formed a circle around me and waited. I felt my face heat up as I got more nervous.

"You got it Torana. Just do what you did earlier." What did I even do earlier? I tried for water because that was what I did earlier.

"Water." I waited. Nothing happened. My face got even hotter. "Water." Everyone looked around. Still nothing.

"Maybe you guys got it wrong?" Grievous offered.
