"Hmm... what to do with you?" he asked and stalked around me. Break your bones? Rip off your fingernails, rip out your hair, skin you alive? I got it! Let's just put that blindfold back on first though." He went to the table of death, came back with the blindfold, and tied it behind my head. It was cold and crusty with dried blood, tears, salt, and citric acid. I keep my eyes tightly closed behind the blindfold and prayed to any god that was out there to save me.
I heard him take a step back and shift his weight then I felt his fist connecting with my thigh.
"Ahh!" I yelled. He didn't stop there. He started punching me all over; I had no way to protect myself and no way to predict his moves because I couldn't see. Thankfully he didn't get to beat me for too long before the door opened and I assumed Alexi and Grevious came in. My assumption was confirmed when I heard Grievous speak.
"What do you need master?" He asked and I was extremely disappointed when he never stopped hitting me. He was using me as a punching bag and I felt every bruise start to form on my skin.
"I need you to tell me everything you know about Annita's guild again." He responded.
"But sir, we already told you. And we can't trust this girl not to blab to them."
"One," he said and gave me an extra hard punch to my ribs, cracking one of them and causing air to rush out of me. Breathing was becoming increasingly hard. "She will never escape, we'll kill her before she can. And two," he said, accenting the word with another punch to my already cracked rib. I felt it crack more and I cried out in pain. "I'm your master so you do what I say."
"I'm sorry sir." They said. As their master kept beating me I felt myself go a place deep inside myself where I couldn't feel the pain. I decided to focus on what Alexi and Grievous were saying, I knew it was going to be important should I get out.
"Well, we've been working for Annita for a while so we have a pretty good layout of the guild. We still don't know where Annita's or the triplet's rooms are. We've never been invited. We know that Yov, a newer member's power is teleportation. We don't know what her limitation is because we were never friends."
"Ok. What else."
"We know the guild's purpose is to stop Child Control and to investigate the government of Freedoa. But we don't know how much they know."
"So you worked there for years and barely got any actually important information except the location of their guild, the layout, and a newbie's power. Useless. Both of you are useless!" He kicked my arm and broke it and I screamed in pain. I was not only blind physically, but I was blind with pain.
A voice in the back of my head told me to ask a question. To risk it. I sniffed.
"How are you guys related to Child Control?"
"Oh, you can still speak? Impressive. Anyway, we work for them. The Freedoa government is a section of Child Control. You thought you were escaping when you came here but that's a lie. We are Child Control." Their master said. I felt my world collapse around me. The emotional pain I felt was worse than the physical pain I had felt up to this point. It was horrible and fat tears rolled down my face and made it sting when it mixed with citric acid.
"Master! Why are you telling her this?" Alexi protested.
"Because she's about to die and give up on life. Just look at her." I knew I must have been a sorry sight. Bloody and bruised with broken bones in multiple places. "If it comforts you girl, the reason Freedoa isn't exactly like Child Control is because of Annita and her posse. She knows the truth and she has the power to be a real problem. Hell, she's already been a real problem. Once we end her and her little guild, we'll have full control. But you won't live long enough to see that."
