My Sweet Omega Chapter 5: It's Positive! This Calls For A Celebration

Three weeks later...

Virgil has been sick for the past three weeks and I am growing concerned. He has shown the same symptoms as Patton did when he was pregnant with James and Skye. But I didn't want to assume. So I exited the Mindspace and headed to the local CVS Pharmacy. When I entered I headed straight to the section for Omegas. I scanned the shelves until I found what I was looking for. A pregnancy test specially developed for Omega males and females. I grabbed it off the shelf and headed to the checkout.

Once I have arrived back in the Mindspace I went straight to the bathroom. I knocked gently on the door and was immediately greeted by Roman opening the door.

"Oh uh sorry Logan we are almost done here," he said apologetically.

"No I am in no need of the bathroom. I came to check in on Virgil," I said calmly. Roman stepped aside. I handed Virgil the pregnancy test. He looked at me.

"A pregnancy test?" he said, sounding rather puzzled. I nodded.

"You are exhibiting the exact same symptoms Patton did when he was pregnant with the twins...take it..just to be sure. I don't want to assume"  I said. Virgil nodded and shooed Roman and me out of the bathroom. He looked at me.  Now we wait. After a while, we heard a scream coming from the bathroom. Roman and I both rushed to the door and knocked frantically. Virgil opened. He had tears in his eyes and a smile on his lips signaling good news which was rather unusual for a side representing anxiety. He held out the pregnancy test he had taken.

"It's positive," he said. Roman looked at him wide-eyed before hugging his mate.

"My love this is amazing! We are gonna be parents" the fanciful side said. I went to my room where Patton was nursing the twins before putting them in their crib. He looked at me.

"What's the commotion about? I heard Virgil scream. Is he ok?" the moral side said. I sat down next to Patton and looked at the twins.

"I can assure you Patton is nothing bad. Virgil just found out that he is pregnant" I said in my usual calm manner. Patton's eyes widened at the news and smiled widely.

"That is amazing!!!!!!!" he said, trying to suppress a squeal as not to wake James and Skye.

"It is indeed Patton," I said kissing his cheek.

"As soon as I have put the twins to sleep we are gonna celebrate with cake, wine, skittles and maybe some cheese and crackers because I know Roman likes cheese and crackers....oh and I know Virgil would love some dark chocolate" Patton rambled on. I put my hand on his.

"Patton dear calm yourself. You are getting ahead of yourself" I said, smiling which was unusual for me. Patton blushed and chuckled.

"Sorry I am just so happy for Virgil and Roman," he said.

"I know you are love but one step at a time," I said.

Later that evening we held a grand celebration. Thomas and some of his acquaintances had joined in on the festivities as well ad brought gifts such as diapers, baby clothes in gender-neutral colors and even brought a second cake. Patton gasped audibly as he caught Virgil pouring some wine into his glass. He took it promptly out of his hand.

"No Virgil...you shouldn't drink alcohol when you are pregnant" Patton chided.

"Why? Not it's not like one drink will hurt," he said.

"Actually it does. Drinking alcohol, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, increases the risk of miscarriage, premature birth and your baby having a low birth weight. Your baby will also develop Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Symptoms of Fetal Alcohol Syndrom are poor growth, facial abnormalities, and learning and behavioral problems. Drinking less heavily, and even drinking heavily on single occasions, may be associated with lesser forms of FAS. The risk is likely to be greater the more you drink" I stated as a matter of factly.

"Awww boooooo Nerdy Wolverine is stopping Virgil from having fun" I heard Remus from across the room. I turned to him and pointed my index finger at him.

"Actually Remus I am making sure he doesn't endanger his or the unborn child's health. So if you want a healthy niece or nephew you better shut your mouth before I get the silencing adhesive" I said. Remus stuck his tongue out as he went to mingle with Thomas's friends.

I had a feeling Virgil was in for quite the ride.
