                                                                                   (Lily's POV)

She kissed me. I repeated the phrase in my head. The feeling of her soft lips against mine shut every voice up in my head, every negative feeling was gone, the only thing that was left was the phrase "she kissed me."

And I kissed her back, harder this time. I didn't think, just did it. It didn't go as far as I daydreamed about, but a kiss was just enough to fulfill my urges.

Only seconds after I returned her favor, she pulled back.

She cleared her throat and looked down. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Instead of answering, I went back in for another kiss; but she moved her head back before our lips could touch. Trying again, I got the same response.

I scoffed. "Yeah, just peachy," I said, sarcastically.

Without a word, she stood up and headed towards the bathroom door. I stood up and ran towards her.

"Wait so that's it? You're just going to walk away?" I asked.

She paused. "If you're still feeling sick just head straight for the office and I'll have a student bring your stuff down," she said, walking out.

What the fuck? Who does that shit? Kisses you and the next minute they act like they want nothing to do with you.

I ran my hands through my hair and looked in the mirror for the 2nd time today: I looked worse and if she hadn't kissed me I probably would've felt worse too.

Not wanting to face whatever the hell just happened; I went straight to the office like I'd been told. I can't remember the last time I followed a teacher's instructions so, yeah, she definitely had a hold on me.

The cool was disrupted by a humid gust of air as I opened the bathroom door and stepped out into the hall. Which was weird, considering the fact that Briarcliff's usually a pretty cold, like a creepy cold: the way ghostbusters would describe how it felt to have a spirit fly past you creepy.

The abnormal warmth was later justified in the office when the nurse took my temperature and found It was 101. She decided it was best if I went home and though I couldn't agree more, home was the very last place I wanted to be.

When this type of stuff went down, I usually crashed at Nathalie's for the time being but the bitchy office lady told me it'd be "inappropriate" to go to Nathalie's class and ask her if I could.

There was still 40 minutes of class left and I wasn't about to wait around in the school. As soon as that thought crossed my mind, Rose strolled in holding my things.

"Ms.Polusun tol' me to bring this yah?" She said, handing me my things.

"Thanks," I said, grabbing my stuff from her.

"Ya welcome," she said. She stood staring at me for a couple of seconds before she spoke again. "Hey....what happened earlia?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

She hesitated before she spoke again. What she was trying to ask was obvious, but I didn't really want to talk about it; it wasn't exactly one of my star moments.

"Threw up," I said, saving her from asking the question she clearly didn't want to ask.

"Oh, so you wa serious about the sick thing earlia?" She asked.

"Well yeah. It'd be an odd thing to lie about," I said.

"Well no....I jus...nevamind," she said.
