The room was divided.

Four golden thrones stood at the highest point of the club. The thrones were surrounded by plush purple velvet. The rest of the clubs looked fancy enough with deep red wallpaper, even better than this club had looked before, but the bars on the windows felt like a threat of death was always close. Every time a human glanced at those bars Makis could feel the trickle of fear that went down their spine and it sent electric shocks of pleasure down His.

The Gods didn't come here everyday but They came alot. Themi normally stayed away and, truth be told, Her siblings prefered that. Without Themi they could cause much more trouble. Keahi didn't care about upsetting Themi but Juni did. He respected His elder sibling Juni too much to cause Themi discomfort while they were out in public. Juni believed that over time Themi's nature would change. They had been on Earth for thirty years and Themi still stayed the same, She ached to bring Justice to the humans again but She had grown tired. Tired of constantly being needing when all She wanted was the same choice Her siblings had. They got to choose if They interfered or not. Themi did not.

The music was so loud but for once Themi was having a good time, She was laughing and didn't feel like She had to make herself as small and unseen as possible. Makis would sometimes touch Her hand and then point to a human on the dance floor and He would comment on their dancing. She would ignore the coldness of his skin and secretly enjoy the commentary He was providing.

"I don't know if they're drunk or if those bees are back."

"Makis!"

"I mean it. Way too much arm movement. It slightly looks like he is drowning on land."

In a way Themi liked Makis. He was funny and way more relaxed than His twin. He sent off a creepy vibe but He always seemed tender towards His little sister. Keahi may not have cared about upsetting Themi but Makis did.

"What about her?"

Themi looked over at a young woman sort of hopping on one leg and swaying her hips at the same time.

"Oh I don't know...is there a new style of dancing?"

"I'll tell you. She thinks that's sexy."

Themi laughed.

"How can that be sexy?"

"I don't know but she fears she isn't looking sexy enough so..."

Makis' smile dropped and He looked up towards the entrance doors. Themi watched as a group of men come in. They were laughing and slapping each other on the back.

"Makis?"

"What?"

"Nothing."

The group got closer to Them and one of the men locked eyes with Themi. He was quite pretty or so Themi thought. Blue eyes that were daring to stare into the eyes of a God. He was bold in that alone. She broke eye contact only when She heard Keahi laughing.

"Oh it looks like one of these mortals has caught baby Themi's eye."

"Don't be ridiculous Keahi."

Juni had noticed since that group of rowdy men had entered Themi had sat a little taller. Only briefly but for Themi to do something that wasn't awkward was impressive.

"Yeah fuck off Keahi."

"Themi!"

"Sorry Juni..."

Makis started laughing and that made some of the dancers cringe or slyly look up to Him. Humans didn't know what to do when the God of fear laughed or smiled. The whole idea seemed unnatural to them but here Makis was laughing because His little sister had been told off for swearing.
