SECURITY ROOM

Morning came and went and still we had no ideas on how to get out of here and to add to my list of problems I haven't eaten since lunch time yesterday. Focus Khione Nori Stones, focus there has got to be a way out of here. Going out the front door and jumping out the window are out of the question, there are too many of them roaming around. I sat at the teacher's desk sighing at our predicament when all of a sudden my stomach growled loudly. Aidon looked at me and laughed then his stomach growled I smirked at him.

"Looks like I am not the only one who is hungry" I taunted him

He rolled his eyes "Have any ideas?"

I shook my head.

"How about their behavior from yesterday"

"I only know what you know" I stated

"Is your name short for something" Aidon ask curiously "I mean Khione sounds like a knock off of Jerry"

I chuckle softly and smoothes back my hair, which is remarkably well kept for someone who has lived hell "Khionelynn Annette is my full first name"

Aidon gawked at me, "Talk about weird names."

We both let out a deep breath forgetting about our seriousness and replacing it with something lighter. Until our stomachs grumbled so loud that everyone in the room heard it and turned their head to look at us. Zoe was about to say something when the classroom door banged causing everyone to jump and Cali to squeal. Cali was passing by the door she woke up not too long ago and started walking around the classroom.

Aidon walked over to the door. No one said anything; just waited for him to say something. After a few moments Aidon turned towards Cali.

"Cali come here" He asked her.

"Why she stammered and backed farther away from him" Aidon sighed in frustration then turned towards me. "Khione come here please."

I went to him without question curious as to what idea he is formulating.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Shake your shirt."

I rose an eyebrow at his odd request but did so anyway. After a moment the sweet smell of Lavender graced my nose followed by notes of rose and jasmine. The smell was faint but it did bring unwanted company sniffing around the door.

A boy dressed in soccer uniform looked through the glass of the door. He and Aidon briefly made eye contact before the boy shuffled away.

"Moving objects and smell would attract them." Aidon whispers.

"Cali's perfume?"

"That's only curiosity. Notice how they didn't stay after the smell fades."

I node my head.

"Yet they don't stray far. Something stronger than perfume is keeping them here."

"What?" I asked

"You know what" He said then looked over my shoulder at Sariah. We have been stuck in this classroom over night and half the day. It's obvious by now that she is on her monthly cycle.

"So what?" I snap.

"We need to come up with a plan accordingly. When she moves they will too. We can count for our speed as an advantage but the place is crawling with them. They will smell her as she passes and follow. Last thing we need is to gather a mob." Aidon said

I wrinkle my brow trying to work out a solution in my head. The others look like a mix of fear and annoyance. I glance up at the roof trying to think. I stare at the roof for a while before the idea hit me.

"I have an idea" I proclaim to the group everyone looks at me with hope.

"The roof" I said. We can go up into the roof to get to the security room.

We use the stick weapons to pry open the panel which wasn't hard since its basically sheet rock. When the hole is big enough Aidon and I climb through it. We poke holes in the roof every few feet to make sure we did not pass the security room. Once we found it we start sawing away eventually we got through.

Aidon jumped down into the room first and checked to make sure there are none of them around then he turn back to help me through the hole. Because I am short and will hurt myself if I attempt to jump down. Shuffling to the edge of the hole I look down at my feet dangling in the air.

"What's wrong" Aidon asked

"I never realize how high the roof was" I said

"Come on jump I will catch you" he encouraged

I did not trust him at all.

Aidon held his hands out "Come on, I promise I will not drop you"

It took me a while but I chose to trust him and jumped out of the hole in the roof. True to his word he catches me easily my heart beat against his chest as I slid down his torso. He held on to me for a second longer than necessary his arms wrapped around and under my rear end.

"Put me down please" I asked

"Oh right sorry" Aidon said releasing his grip from around my backside as I slide down the length of his torso. Butterflies exploded in the pit of my stomach, not wanting to be close to him anymore or any longer than needed I pushed at him as soon as my feet touched the floor.

"Thank you" I mumbled then began studying the monitors around me.

"Your welcome" He said then began opening draws and pulling out the schools blue prints.

The OG school buildings are connected in one big hexagon. We mark the buildings that are closest to the parking lot and eliminate them according to how many students are in and around them. We are in the administrators side of the office building. Student parking is on the far right side of the cafeteria. To get to student parking we are going to have to cut across the quad; which thankfully is now devoid of students, enter building 2 classroom 4 without disturbing the 4 or so students that are in there, jump out the window, dash across the lunch time gathering area, skirting around the elder tree, to finally get to the student parking lot where we are going to run as if the hounds of hell are nipping at our heels; because god knows they are, enter Aidons vehicle and get the hell out of Hallimore Prep. Easy peasy. Since the office building is infested with students we decide to travel through the roof. Good thing no one in our group is heavy.

"Come on i'll help you up" Aidon offered.

I crossed my arms and huffed "I don't think so"

"Well what do you want to do your too short to jump up on your own" Aidon asked

I smoothed my skirt and bit my lip. "Am wearing a skirt you dummy"

Aidon turned red "Oh I'm sorry it slipped my mind"

"Really?!" I yelled at him

I could hear death groans out in the hall the shuffling of feet grew closer and closer to the room. They are coming this way. Shit curse my big mouth.

"You're not heavy i'll go up and then lift you through the hole" Aidon said jumping up and into the hole effortlessly.

Sensing his urgency I look toward the door of the security room which was missing. I jumped as high as I could but I could barely reach the tip of Aidon's fingers.

"Come on you have to jump higher" Aidon calls down to me.

"I know" I gritted out through clenched teeth.

Just then a security guard came into the room I eyed him and prepared for a fight.

"Khione... Be careful" Aidon yelled down at me.

The security guard looks up at Aidon and jumps to try and get to him. I smiled using the opening I knee the guard in the stomach causing him to lose his balance and drop to his hands and knees. Then using his back as leverage, I jump off and grasp onto Aidons out stretched arms. Aidon pulled me into the hole and was about to head back to the group when a heavy hand grabbed my ankle and pulled me through the hole. Heart in stomach I screamed as the feeling of falling took over my senses.
