CHAOS

With the danger left behind in the school yard we need to figure out where exactly we are going. We need to regroup and figure out our next plans.

"Let's go to my house it's closer." I suggested

Aidon nodded.

"Make a right here" I instructed

On our way to my house we saw what it is like outside the school. Everything is in chaos. There are groups of them everywhere and people regressing to any means to take advantage of the situation. I am thinking about my parents when I remember that I need to call them again. I am staring out the window in a daze thinking about how my parents might be faring in this fucked up situation. All of a sudden I am sent flying toward the dash board. Luckily Aidon caught me before I got hurt.

"Sorry" Aidon apologized

"What the hell?" I yelled at him.

"I need to call my parents" He simply said. Everyone bolted upright as they remembered their family.

For the moment the streets are empty. We are in a residential area close to my home driving around looking for a safe route to get to my house which was only two blocks away. We should have been at my resident 30 min ago but the way is blocked by abandoned cars, suspicious characters, or groups of them.

I pull out my phone and call my dad. He answers on the first ring.

"Princess" he said

"DADDY" I choke out relief flowing trough me "I can't contact mom" I stated

"It's okay Khione she is here at the hospital with me" he confirm "Listen to me princess have you been bitten?"

"No" I answer shakily.

"Good" he said

"Princess, do not come to the hospital." I am shaking something is not right. "It's not safe here." I am crying now because I knew what he is going to say next. "It's too late for us we have been bitten"

I cry at those words.

"It's okay princess" he says. He is sounding weaker and weaker. "Trust yourself you know how to survive you can get through this."

"Daddy please not without you an mom" I whisper

"The house have enough supplies to treat your condition for a few years. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Also there is something your mom and I wanted to tell you but I'm afraid its to late for me to explain. In my office there are files on what happened during your nine months of coma. Read it understand it and I hope you forgive us for keeping this from you."

"Dad tell me now. You are scaring me."

"Princess you are our greatest creation you will survive for our sake and yours" is the last thing I hear before my dad drop the phone before the phone cut off.

I slammed my phone on the dash of Aidon's car. Taking deep breath's I suppressed the urge to throw a major tantrum but I couldn't stop the tears that trickled down my cheeks.

"Khione?" Aidon's voice soft full of concern.

"Khione" Aidon voice was laced with pity this time.

I gave him a glare that made him jump in his seat. From that look alone he knew that I did not want his pity or anyone else's.

He nods his head a silent conformation. Then turn to Thomas whom was still sharing the front seat with me on his lap.

"Want to head to the backseat it's safe to exit the car for a few moments."

Thomas shrug his shoulders then placed a hand on my lap. I slapped it away then opened the car door. I am in the process of sliding down his lap when a disembodied hand shot up from underneath the hummer.
