Chapter 59 The Assembly and a friend's trust

Taurtis P.O.V 

I was walking towards Sam's house after getting a text from Chan telling me  to come over to his house...I dont remember her getting a key to his house..best not to dwell on that, though I am glad to hear that she is safe . As I got to the house I couldn't help but feel guilty, Sam got this house because he was all alone after me and Grian left and now he's gone missing I hope he comes back safe.  I walked through the door to find not one, not two, but the whole group of people from the slumber party except for invader which is understandable, and the cops inside. I smiled "hey guys you guys got a text from chan as well?". Grian stood up and nodded "yeah I dont know why she wants us to meet up here though it's kind of weird that she broke into Sam's house." I nodded "yeahhhhh I dont know about this either but hey it's nice to meet up and hang out right?". Grian nodded and as we turned to look around Chan came down the stairs, she looks...scared?. I walked up to her and hugged her "I missed you and is everything alright chan?" Chan looked at me and gave a sad smile "just heard some news, could you sit down so I can begin?". from her tone I knew she wasn't trying to be pushy so I sat on the floor as everyone began to be quiet.
Chan bowed to everyone "thank you for being here, I must warn you all of what's going to happen, and tell you how we can stop it." she turned and looked at Okami and Rowen "you two must have heard from J and after my actions from the house you know I been working with Sam right?". I turned my gaze to those two "they know about Sam !? he's been missing for awhile what happened to him? and what do you mean working for him?". I was confused I just thought he has been missing what is Chan talking about?. Chan looked at me and began talking "Sam had dirt on me and blackmailed me to work for him, he probably did the same with J and then began his plan to execute at the sleepover though luckily it didn't plan out the way he thought was going happen thanks to Pete and the other stranger. After that Sam stopped contacting me and I dont know where he is but I do know his next move now. I need you guys to trust me, this is the-
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" I yelled "Pete is dead and the slumber party? Sam couldn't make it to the party, he texted me that he didn't want to go and feel all bitter about sookie and soul being together. J had the gun I don't know how Pete died but you cant just blame Sam, Chan I love you but what your saying just doesn't add up right?" I looked at Okami and Rowen and I felt myself go pale as Rowen spoke "She's right Taurtis we have sufficient evidence and a confession from J that Sam killed Yakuza members, now Sam didn't kill Pete but he did kill a majority of Yakuza and conspired to kill you and others at the slumber party." my heart felt it was hit by a truck I turned to Grian "you dont believe this right? Sam wouldn't...there's no way Sam could kill them it was him vs a group of armed Yakuza's there's no way he kill all of them without a trace right?". Grian looked down "Sam..has been acting strange and if he did get J's help it wouldn't be that hard to use one of those cleaner bombs J had to erase evidence of him being there at the time..it's logical to assume that Sam could of done this since he has a motive." Chan spoke behind me "Taurtis...he is hunting me down now as we speak"  she handed me her phone and showed me the text. I looked at the text and stared at it..my legs moved on instinct and I ran out of the house. I don't know where I was going but I needed to find Sam, I needed to hear it from him. suddenly what he told me flashed in my mind  " I promise Taurtis I will come to you". why didn't he come to me with his problems, why did he resort to killing?. I needed to know no matter how much deep inside me I knew that this will get me killed by him because I knew just as well that he did these killings...I just didn't want to believe it. 

Grian's P.o.V

Taurtis ran out the door yet no one would stop him, heck I would do the same if I still held some belief that Sam didn't do this yet the logic backing this is clear. we all stayed and we listened to Chan talk about the text. "I decided that I can't do this alone I need everyone here to help me  hunt down and capture Sam dead or alive. "I would like us to keep him alive" I said standing up "He is still my friend and I would rather him be alive than dead even with these killings" Chan nodded understanding what I said. She kept looking at the door probably because she was worried about Taurtis. Sookie and Soul stood up and apologized but they didn't want to risk each other's life for this plan and walked out. Chan didn't stop em how could she? Sam has become a dangerous man and could hurt them...as Chan talked I couldnt help but wonder...where's Yuki?
