CHAPTER 60: The Wild Hunt

Sam's P.O.V

The sun was falling as it was becoming late. I stopped searching for Chan for a bit since something strange was going on. The town felt like it wasn't just a town anymore, it felt like it became a hunting ground but everyone is a hunter. I saw that Soul and Sookie was heading to invaders earlier and I was interested in hunting them but something just didn't feel right, it was if I was being baited. I began humming while thinking about the situation, I was sitting on the bridge right under Dom's house since it had a good view of the sky. 
"SAM!" a familar voice yelled and I turned around to see Taurtis looking straight at me.  I gave him a smile "Well hey there Taurtis long time no see what's with the face". Taurtis just stared at me and after a few moments he finally spoke "..you killed them right? the Yakuza,  Yuki's dad, your even beginning to hunt my girlfriend..please tell me I am wrong, tell me that this is some terrible large scale prank..dont say I am right" I could hear the desperation in his voice so I gave him the bitter truth since I  wanted to see him sink even more in that sadness. "Yeah I did. I killed them all...well except Paul but hey if it wasn't for him you guys probably would of died since ya know..I planned for you guys to die heh". Taurtis's face looked so sad and it gave me so much joy to finally see him hurt even a bit as much as I did. Taurtis suddenly rushed me and I couldnt draw my knife in time but before he could rush me someone I never expected to show up pushed him away...It was Yuki that girl who haunted my life...I drew my knife and with a spring in my step went to end that demon once and for all. 

Taurtis P.O.V

The fight isn't like some sort of anime or show that depicted a fight. as I stood up I saw the two clashing knife vs knife. I took out my phone and texted Chan the adress. She said she responded and told me to get somewhere safe but I can't leave Sam not to let him possibly take another life. Sam and Yuki were trying to make a direct blow on the other person and at the same time avoiding to take that blow. Sam obviously had the advantage he was swinging fast and dodging if he missed. Yuki was keeping up but she seem sluggish and looked as if she hadn't slept days. "YOU KILLED MY DADDY" she yelled as she began to swing wildly. Sam was keeping back but suddenly charged "just die already you idiot" and got a cut on Yuki's shoulder but got sliced on the cheek. I didn't know what to do but I needed to stop them somehow..without being stabbed by the both of them. Suddenly I heard a van and I turned around to see Rowen and Okami jump out guns out and staring at the fight while Chan jumped out to. when I turned back with a sigh of relief I then took a double take to see that Sam was holding a knife to yuki's neck and had his back to the side of the bridge.  "Well isn't this a sticky situation..lets talk this out and let me go orrrrr how about I kill the princess and escape in the dead of night" Rowan let out a small laugh and kept his gun pointed at Sam "you won't escape..you jump off you die, you have no way out of this". Okami spoke too "Sam just let Yuki go and come with us. you have lost and you will not take another life." I looked at Sam as well "Sam come on man just let her go, you can st-" "Shut up...I am tired of you people always looking smug at me as if you were better...the only reason this game isn't over yet is because Chan and J couldn't do their dang job and take them out...STOP ACTING LIKE YOU WON STRAIGHT OUT" with that yell Sam plunged a knife into Yuki and jumped up in one motion. me and Sam had direct eye contact as he looked at me with such hatred...and then he fell. All I could do was fall on my knees and cry.

Sam P.O.V

I began to fall. I knew it was too early to fall, there was no boat waiting for me, Owen's not there it's game over. I have no regrets except that I wish I could of just taken Grian or Taurtis out as well. This isn't some anime where I get this reversal as a villain and can come back for some greater plot. This is my reality just some rabbit trying to show everyone that I was better, stronger than I was...Heh in the end guess my own time was my enemy. Unlike the white rabbit in wonderland I wasn't late I was too early. As I felt the water hit my body I just closed my eyes still smiling.

A/N: is this ending good quality wise? nope not at all in my opinion but does this story deserve a good quality end for a story that I abandoned well thats debatable. I am not gonna write an Epilogue because to be honest I dont want to leave a hint of a hope that I would make a sequel or something.
