Chapter 17 The bond between friends

Silly P.O.V

As I left Sam's house I was bright red I couldn't believe we kissed I was happy on the inside but felt guilty because Yuki was Sam's girlfriend and not me. I saw two people jump out in front of me and I admit I screamed. ''SHHHHH Silly be quiet are you trying to wake the whole town up'' said the first person who I now recognized as Taurtis and I looked to my right and recognized Grian I instantly hit both of them and said "it's not my fault you two decided to pop out of nowhere and scare me''.  Grian said in a annoyed tone "sorry about that Taurtis wanted to be sneaky and we eavesdropping on you guys" Taurtis glared at Grian and said "You weren't suppose to mention that we eavesdropped on them" with a pout. I blushed instantly at the thought of anyone seeing me and Sam accidental kiss and I kept cool and said "why did you want to eavesdrop on us in the first place and uh what did you see".  Grian put his hand over Taurtis mouth when Taurtis was about to speak and said " Taurtis wanted to eavesdrop on you guys because he was worried about Sam and wanted to make sure you didn't upset him since he feels bad about what happened on halloween and to be honest that's the same reason for me".  I was surprised at this and asked "why would you think I would upset him" and Taurtis having removing Grian's hand from covering his mouth said in a worried tone " because you don't know him that well and guessing by what we saw you asked about his family didn't you" I nodded and said " I just wanted to know where his family was I didn't know about what happened". "Well silly we didn't know until middle school in  7th grade about what happened and let me tell ya I still remember it word for word" said Taurtis as he began to talk about the past. School just ended and me, Grian, and Sam were walking down the road when I saw Sam's house I stopped and asked Sam " hey Sam me and Grian haven't been to your house in a while we should stop there and get a bite to eat my parents wont mind I said smiling. " My parents wouldn't mind either" said Grian nodding his head. "Um I-I don't know my dad might be home and he might not want to me to have you two over right now" Said Sam who strangely looked scared. " Nah don't worry I am sure he will love to have us" I said as I grabbed  Sam by the arm and ran to his house with Grian following us. When we got to his house Sam opened the door and we went in. " So um what do you guys wanna do play games?" said Sam looking at the both us Grian walked past Sam and looked around"...Sam where is your dad" Said Grian bluntly as he looked around Sam looked shaken and asked "w-what do you mean by that he must be at work" said Sam nervously "Grian what are you doing" I said confused at what Grian is trying to do. "If he is at work than am not a boy because the house looks like it hasn't been clean in a week, and your door was unlocked meaning you don't have the key and you meant to keep the door unlocked so you are hiding something" said Grian looking straight at Sam. "S-stop it I don't want to talk about i-" "your dad is in the asylum isn't he" said Grian bluntly " GRIAN THAT"S TO FAR"  I yelled defending Sam.  Sam was on the verge of tears "y-yeah he's gone and I don't know what to do anymore my family basically doesn't exist anymore" said Sam crying and then Grian did something I didn't expect from him he hugged Sam and said "me and Taurtis are still here we are your family so don't you worry I promise you we won't leave you alone" Sam sobbed into Grians shirt and I joined in on the hug. (end of flashback) "That was basically what happened Sam moved in with me and he told me and Grian about what happened and we broke our promise with Sam and now we want to make up for it Taurtis said determined". "Well anyway enough story time it's late and we all need to go home I am gonna meet up with ellen see ya guys" said Grian waving as he walked away.  " I should get going to but please don't tell Sam we told you this see ya later Silly". As they both walked away I couldn't help but worry about Sam how broken has he become after facing all that I should talk to him tomorrow I said as I walked away not knowing that this would be the last time a normal conversation would happen.
