Yena stopped her walk, she suddenly couldn't feel her legs right after she stepped into the room. Her brain stutters, her eyes were frozen, her warm blood runs cold; and every part of her paused for a moment. It was as if she just got knocked off from a high tree to the ground, stunning her and causing her struggles to breathe. She was at loss of words but Yuri squeezed her hand, pulling her back to reality.
"Please take a seat," a gentle voice comes out, monotonically ringing in their ears.
It was the doctor's, gesturing a hand to the seat just in front of her desk.
The brunette had to drag Yena whose eyes haven't blinked as if she just sees something unbelievable. As much as Yuri wanted to ask what happened, now is not the right time. She needs her eyes to get examined since they are there already and being a thoughtful person she is, Yuri wanted to avoid wasting the doctor's precious time, there were people queueing outside anyway.
The two seated themselves on the straight-backed chair. Releasing Yuri's hand, Yena sat groggily, placing her hands on its armchair. Her body stiffened but she tried hard to be casual in front of the doctor.
The doctor doesn't look old for a woman, but not too young either. Her hair was long and tied up in such a tidy ponytail with the color of ash grey. White robe hides her slender figure well, but her slim wrist was still shown beneath the robe's sleeve while she quickly writes on document from her desk then stops her writing.
"So which one of you is Jo Yuri?" still holding a pen on her hand, she looked up at the two girls. "I'm assuming you're the one who needs to get examined," the doctor guessed and point her pen at Yuri.
"Yes, I'm Jo Yuri, Doctor..." Yuri paused since she doesn't know the doctor's name until she checked the doctor's nametag on her robe, "Doctor Hana."
"Alright, let's get you examined in the next room," the doctor stood up and began to walk over to the other room which Yuri obediently followed afterward.
In the other side, upon knowing the doctor's name, Yena slightly tilted her head. Her mind started to wander on its own with countless thoughts she was having earlier.
Oh? Her name is Yamazaki Hana? Of course there's no way that doctor would be Sakura.
She lets out a sigh of relief, resting her back while loosening her tensed body. It felt like a burden has been lifted up from her stiffened shoulder.
She even have long hair, the Sakura I know loves her hair to be short. Also her way of speaking is so cold too, it's just too different... What am I so surprised for then?
At the same time Yena acknowledges the doctor's face does really remind her of Sakura, her late Japanese friend, the resemblance is there. But what's the actual chance? Zero. The doctor doesn't even give the slightest clue in knowing Yena, the way she acted is just like a stranger, not even an acquaintance. Her face was heartless, to the point that it's no different than a stone. And then Yena laughs awkwardly at herself for overthinking much, feeling it was so stupid of her.
