Chapter 1
A Dark And Stormy Night
It was a dark and stormy night in New Jersey. It wouldn't stop raining. The water rose till it reached Mr. Dozing's feet who was on his porch watching with anxiety. The only thing he could do was worry untill he fell asleep. Gregory Dozing had a sleeping disease which made him fall asleep almost every 10 minutes. He himself could not do anything to change this happening, and still people judged him and no one would ever come round for a cup of tea with him. It's a sad story. But he dreamt for all of us.
Lola Restless, a 17 year old neighbor of Mr. Dozing, hated dreaming. She told her younger brother, 10 year old Tristan Restless that dreaming was for losers and that he should listen to music instead. Tristan looked up at his big sister and cancelled a few nights of beauty sleep just to listen to his favorite band. My Chemical Romance.
"Kill me now." Lola thought out loud in response to her mother, Rose Restless' idea for some family bonding time while the storm continued ruining the internet and television connection.
"I would only kill all your friends." Tristan grinned.
"Excuse me?!" Rose responded shocked and angry. Not knowing what to think of her son's statement. Could it be that he was missing his father so much he became a psychopath? She worried to herself.
"Relax mom, it's just a song." Lola grinned highfiving her little brother. "I'm proud of you, boy." She wisperd in his ear. Tristan's eyes glitterd and shinned. He was so glad his sister was proud of him. His hero was proud of him. His father should have been his hero but he never cared to join the family.
"Any votes for Scrabble?" Their mother asked while setting the table up for the best game ever. At least, in Rose's opinion. Lola and Tristan both sighed deeply.
"What about Hide & Seek?" Lola came with the suggestion. Tristan nodded eagirly but their mother wasn't buying it.
"So you can lock yourselfs in your room again? No no, we are going to play Scrabble. Sit down. I'll make you some tea." She said before disappearing into her kitchen.
Lola desided to put on some music. Taking account of her younger brother, she put a song by My Chemical Romance on. She put it on blast. Not caring about her neighbor.
He'll sleep through it, as always. She thought. She thought of him as a cursed man, and nothing more. And Lola being Lola, she felt hatred towards supernatural stuff. You couldn't blame her. Her mother raised her that way. She told stories to Lola about her father having chosen a cursed path.
Well you can hide a lot about yourself,
But honey, what're you gonna do?
And you can sleep in a coffin,
But the past ain't through with you.
Meanwhile Rose was in the kitchen making tea. She was shocked by the song, again. In a way of realizing how much it spoke to her. How much it spoke about her. She began to worry about the extent to which the lyrics told the truth. And Rose didn't know if she liked it that the song was revealing her past so much. In fact, she didn't like it at all.
Mm, something to talk about at the Coven. She thought.
Cause we are all a bunch of liars.
Tell me, baby, who do you wanna be?
