Chapter 2

The Great Ladies

It was June's full moon. Meaning there was a meeting at the Coven. Rose Restless, being a witch herself, called everyone she knew to watch her children for the weekend but no one had time.

"But we don't need a babysitter, mom! I'm old enough now." Moaned Tristan. Lola and her mother both laughed at the little big guy.

"You're a big boy, brother. But I think I'm the one in charge right now, right mom?" Lola smiled. But her smile faded when her mom shook her head.

"Neither of you are going to stay alone for the whole weekend. I'm getting a babysitter." The Restless children sighed deeply.

"So how about your uncle Jon." They shook their heads in disapproval. Pulling silly faces.

"Either uncle Jon or Mr. Dozing." Their mother suggested sternly. They both gasped.

"You can't be serious!" Lola breathed out in frustration and disbelieve. She began to bite on her pinkie. Something she always did when she was nervous. It eased her.

"What's wrong with uncle Jon?" Rose asked. She didn't seem to have a problem with her big brother so why should her kids have one? Jonathan Restless was a perfect father figure, even tho he didn't have kids. But he was a teacher at a preschool, he knew how to deal with children very well.

"I rather not talk about it." Said Tristan while sadly shaking his head. Lola joined him.

"Then Mr. Dozing it shall me. And I don't need comments on that. It's settled. We have no one else to look after you and I really need to go to my business meeting." Rose said sternly before calling Mr. Dozing. She waited a few minutes, giving him time to pick up the phone. But after 10 minutes she gave up and hung up.

"I'll be right back." Rose said to her children while putting on her coat. The children ignored her, not taking their eyes of the tv. The tv was, in this case, nicer than the mother whom let them stay with a psycho for the whole damn weekend. At least, in their opinion.

It didn't take long before Rose returned with the good news, that Mr. Dozing was happy to babysit them for the weekend. Lola and Tristan didn't take it in as good news but they were left no choice.

~4 hours later~

The children were at Mr. Dozing's house and Rose had made it to the Coven safely. The Coven was busier than usual. But nothing she hadn't seen before.

She quickly went in search of the bathroom before it would start. Finally finding the bathroom, Rose swung the door open in a hurry. She gasped. The toilet was apparently already occupied, but she noticed too late.

Before her on the toilet sat a screaming Mary Geest. Supreme over the spirits. And one of The Great Ladies. The Great Ladies are the leading group of the Coven. The three supreme's. Lilly Almacht, the oldest one and the mightiest one. Despite her selfishness, she's the most gracious one. Pollie Aard. She helps everyone with their love lives. And Mary Geest, the supreme witch over sleep and the rest of the mind and spirit. The Great Ladies can be in anyone's benefit unless you deny them or make them feel sad in any way. And there wasn't much needed for that. They were very sensitive. They curse everyone and anyone they get mad at. And this time it was Rose Restless' time.

"I am so sorry, Mary Geest! I didn't know!" Rose fell to her knees, beging the witch for forgiveness but it was already to late.

"Rose Restless, you will have to seek a place abandonned by crying spirits to give your daughter, Lola a rest. Cause I am cursing her with the ability of sense of paranormal activity in the highest!" Mary yelled before disappearing. Leaving Rose to cry and worry for her childrensake and mercy of the other witches.
