Mike dropped off Jody outside her mum's house.  She was still fuming about the decision but there was nothing she could do. She knocked on the door and stood there waiting for her mum to answer. Jody was surprised to find the house clean and tidy and her bedroom had been decorated. Her mum even cooked her spaghetti Bolognese for dinner - Jody's favourite meal.  Jody couldn't remember the last time she'd done that. For the first time in ages Jody snuggled up in her own bed that night and was actually happy. It seemed as if things had gone back to how they had used to be before all the troubles with Kingsley. Jody could actually picture herself moving back in with her mum perhaps this was the start of a new beginning a new chapter without Kingsley and all the drama he had caused. Before she went to sleep she texted Tyler and told him that everything was OK and for once she actually felt certain it would.

The next morning Jody woke up to a delicious smell wafting upstairs. She followed her nose to the kitchen to find her mum cooking pancakes.

Come on sleepy head, I thought you were never going to wake up laughed Denise as she plonked a golden pancake onto her plate. Jody happily tucked into the pancakes. After breakfast Jody curled up on the sofa in front of the telly.

No time for telly, I thought we would go shopping. Exclaimed Denise coming downstairs

Shopping? But you never take me shopping? Replied Jody

Well you're turning into a young woman, about time I treated you to a few nice clothes

Right replied Jody a little unsure

But she wasn't disappointed. Her mum bought her a load of new clothes at the shopping centre and they even stopped off at the fancy department store café for tea and cake.

Blimey is that the time! Cried Denise looking at her watch. My shift at the supermarket starts in half an hour, I've got to run. You take you new things home and when I get back later we'll have a takeaway, it'll be too late to bother cooking

Ok mum, see you later called Jody after her as she rushed off

Jody's phone pinged, she tapped on the screen and saw a message from Tyler. A few of us are heading to park, we need to meet to discuss this crazy situation. Meet us at the park  in an hour if you can.
