Pierce’s POV
I waited a block from the station praying for something to happen, I was so anxious by now I didn’t care if it was good or bad news I just needed to know. After what felt like a lifetime a scene from my dreams came to life, a gorgeous black haired beauty stumbled from the police entrance shading her face from the sun. She got out, her eyes were gaunt and her hair was all messed up like she hadn’t brushed it in a year as oppose to a couple days, but it didn’t matter she was still a stunning sight; one I was blessed to see again.
I felt like I was floating I’d missed her so much and I felt numb from relief. When she saw me her eyes lit up and she smiled, but almost immediately that smile was shadowed by grief. What was wrong?
I tossed weight from one foot to another unsure what to do, it felt like a year passed as she made her way down the street towards me. I hugged her tightly, my rough hands grasping her thin waist as she culched onto me balling up my shirt in her hands. Finally the dark hole inside me subsided and was replaced by love. Our lips met like magnets causing an overwhelming intensity of desire. Her lips slid to my neck sending shocks of warmth through my body. “Aileen...” I murmured in her soft ear.
“What?” she smiled up at me happily, but I could see something was upsetting her, was it me?
“Is everything okay?”She dipped her head giving me a perfect view of her sooty eyelashes bashing as she spoke.
“When I was in jail I got a call,”
“So?” I said confused.
“It’s from my dad, he wants me to come home,” pin drop silence.
