Pierce’s POV

The next day I found myself leaning against a tree a’ ways from this snooty private school. A bunch of girls with blonde hair and really short skirts walked past me. I swear they were just asking to get raped. A couple checked me out and gave me ‘Barbie doll’ smiles letting me know they liked what they saw. I chose to wink at a strawberry blond with too much eyeliner and bubble gum pink lips. She giggled in response and ditched her friends to approach me instead.

“Hi I’m Jess,” she said with a very flirty tone, it was almost too easy, all I had to do was stand outside her school.

“Dom,” I lied easily.

“I haven’t seen you before we are you from?”

“Outta’ town,” I lied to her, but inside I was hoping it was true, maybe if this stupid plan actually works then it would be. We could get on a train and leave the state; we could go somewhere sunny, with beaches and palm trees.

“Cool,” she bobbed her head. I pulled myself from the daydream.

“Ya’ wanna’ hang out some time?” I was getting a bit impatient, so I cut to the chase.

“Sure,” she shrugged.

“How about tonight say 8:30 behind the train station?”I didn’t let her answer and just walked away. Phase one of our plan was complete.

I’d spent the rest of the day checking to make sure Amir had set the evidence correctly. It was basic stuff like belongings, prices tags from stolen stuff, Amir’s finger prints and other sh*t, it was easy to singe with a lighter and plant in the woods. It didn’t need a lot of work, but I was little on edge, if this plan didn’t work who knows when I’ll get to see Ail next?

That night I met Amir at eight behind the train station. “About time you arrived,” Amir clicked his tongue, what a jerk.

“ ‘boat time you found some manners,” I countered lamely, I am so pathetic.

“Says the hobo,” he snorted.

“Damn that was good! Wish I’d had somthin’ cool to say back,” I mocked even though I actually didn’t have anything to say back at all. He didn’t seem to notice this as he clenched his fist then unclenched it and went right back to clenching it again.

“I set up the evidence,” I said.

“So whose going to phone it in?” he asked wearily, the boy had no faith.

“Well I got this great girl to set up,”

“Oh really?” he asked a little doubtful, the dumbass.

“Yeh we just started dating, you know since the rat’s locked up an’ all. Besides once she’s out her heart’ll be all yours man,” I threw up a little in my mouth saying this, but it had to be said, he had to believe that she really want him or else he wouldn’t do it. This meant I couldn’t be in the picture or act like I was interested in getting her back.  It was slowly killing me, but I had to make him believe that what we had was just a fling, that I was saving her because of a ‘debt’. “I invited her tonight worked out this great plan.........”

At 8:30 the chick, Jamie I think, arrived. “Dom???” she approached me cautiously.

“Ah hoped ya’d come,” I gave her a fake charming smile that seemed to always work. In this case that theory is deemed true because she visibly relaxed.

“so um...” she still fumbled a bit though.

“I know it’s nothing fancy,” I gestured to the dusty scenery of the station, “but there’s a great view an’ no busy crowds.”

“Yeh,” she agreed, “so when did you move here?”

“A few weeks ago,” I took her hand in mind an’ led her slowly to the building’s corner, right into my trap.

“I think it’s really cool, you being new here and all. I’ve never been anywhere else,” she sighed.

“Really?” I kept the conversation going.

“But it’s good because I know this place really well. I should show you round sometime...” she looked at me suggestively. Normally I’d be a little turned on, but after kissing Ail I knew that nothing would come in comparison and it would just result in further depression, if there’s such a thing. She leaned into me and I felt physically sick. Amir you can come out now! I mentally pleaded.

“Hey can I join the party?” finally!

“Get outta’ here creep,” I said while Jamie basically went frozen. Amir punched me in the eye.....hard, damn the prick. I punched him in the nose and it felt great. I took the liberty of going ‘off script’ and giving him a couple blows to the stomach. I mentally coaxed my fist from its psychotic rampage and let Amir ‘finish me off’ with a bow to the jaw. I fell to the ground limply.  F_cking hell I don’t know what bothers me more, that he caused me pain or that he was able to.

“Run Jamie!” I yelled whilst spurting blood on the concrete. She took a double take on me placing her hands on her hips in that girly ‘I’m so annoyed’ way.

“Jamie?! My name’s Jess!” I rolled my eyes.

“Po-ta-to, po-tat-o, whatever, just run, because I think I’m going to fei…” I fell over and listened to her running, little did she know she was being herded into the woods right towards the evidence.

I got up once I couldn’t hear them anymore and ditched the place, phase three was complete.

That morning Amir was taken into custody. It was up to them now, but hopefully Amir would follow through. I pray he does keep up his bargain and take the blame for it all, say that he intimidated Ail into doing what she’d done. I then prayed that Ail didn’t do anything dumb to counter act our rescue mission. I wave of nausea overcame me, what if Ail did have feelings for Amir? Here I’ve been feeling bad for playing the poor sucker, but what if he was playing me? What if she was happier with him? What do I do without her? What more do I have to live for?
