Save me (Severitus)

Chapter 3 part 3

Snape's POV

    "Well Harry what those muggles told you was wrong, your parents were Lily Evans and James Potter. They died protecting you from a very powerful wizard," I hated having to tell him this, I'm assuming he will have a lot of questions.

    "Well that's what that dream was about," he whispers.

    "You remember that? You shouldn't have to remember that, but yes that's how your parents died," I am genuinely shocked he remembers that.

    "I guess I have to go back now don't I?" He said quietly.

"Oh Merlin no, I would never let you go back there. Well Harry I was wondering if you would like to stay with me..." I closed my eyes ready for a painful rejection. After a few second I opened my eyes, he was crying!

"Y-you want a freak like me?" He choked out with tears streaming down his face.

"Yes, Harry. I do," I said quickly how dare these muggles make him think he's not worth anything.

Suddenly, I had a ten-year old in my lap crying happy tears. I didn't know what to do then I suddenly wrapped my arms around him like I wished I had when I was crying, this boy was more like me than I ever thought possible.

Harry's POV

I couldn't stop crying he wanted me, he was going to care for me. He had wrapped his arms around me and I had never felt more safe or happy in my entire life.

After 30 minutes of crying in his arms he set me back into the bed.

"Now no jumping out till your better, I'm not sure if Poppy has administered the more potent potions yet," he told me.

"Yes sir, I'm sorry sir," I replied pulling the covers up

"No need to apologize Harry, just get some rest I have to speak to the headmaster and the rest of the staff and I will come back with some food for you," he said gently.

"Okay I will rest, I'll see you soon right, sir?" I asked, I didn't want him to leave.

"Yes, don't worry, I will be back," he said and then gently squeezed my hand and left the... wherever I am. Once he left I fell into a deep sleep.

Snape's POV

    I saw Poppy as I walked out, I was sad that I had to leave him, but I needed to talk with the rest of the staff.

    "Severus, my alarms went off he woke up, I couldn't come in time!" She said breathlessly.

    "Don't worry Poppy I just was in there with him talking to him. My alarms went off, he's asleep and in bed," I said calmly.

    "Severus, I'm going to have to administer the tougher potions later," she said quietly.

    "Let him rest and I'll talk to him after he wakes up and we will give him a sleeping potion then," I said I really didn't want to give him these, but he needed them desperately.

     "Sounds good, I'll see you later then," she said briskly before quickly enter the Infirmary.

    I then walked through the old Hogwarts hallways. I remember Lily taking me here after James and Sirius threw some hexes. God I was stupid why did I ever call her that awful name... why did she never forgive me? I guess we were both young and stupid.

    Suddenly I walked into the great hall it was changed it was just a dining table, I was ten minutes early as I was to every meeting.

    "Good evening Severus, we will wait for everyone to get here before we start the talking about the boy," Albus said gently.

    I said nothing while taking my seat that was next to Minerva.

    "Good evening Severus," she said curtly.

    "Evening Minerva," I said calmly. Minerva was a sharp woman, I liked her, but during the school year she was so busy she let her "lions" do whatever they please and they ate whatever they pleased. Typically they weren't that bad even though you'd never hear me say that out loud, I would have more respect for her, but after she let James and his bunch do whatever they wanted to me I had lost respect for her.

    Suddenly the rest of the staff came in, our new DADA teacher was still on his way. Only staff that teacher the first years were going to be dining tonight the others still had vacation.

    "Good evening everyone," Albus said loudly, "I have gathered everyone to talk about a little boy named Harry Potter," 

    Only Albus, Minerva and I didn't look shocked.

    "It has recently come to my attention that he wasn't being taken care of properly, but I'm going to let Severus tell the story as he's the one who found him.

    After telling everyone the tale of the boy I said, "He woke up earlier, we talked and he said he would like to stay with me, I know you might not believe me, but please know I will take care of him," I said to everyone. I didn't want to say I've come to love the boy already he already felt like a son to me. I looked down at my plate ready for someone to object and him be taken from me.

   "I don't doubt that you will take good care of him, I don't think anyone here could've taken better care of him over these past days Severus," Minerva said softly.

    I looked up some of the ladies were crying, Hagrid was crying too.

    "Severus, I think we can all agree the boy belongs in your care, I will get the guardian papers soon, but we might have a problem getting the Dursley's to sign," Albus admitted, "Don't fret though Severus, I will help you and Harry needs you right now,"

"Meeting over," Albus said over everyone
