Just wanted to say anyone concerned about my mental health, I'm doing better I'm still fighting with myself but my friends death has made me realize if I'm not going to make a decision on how I feel, I should focus on the moment. I'm still in turmoil but I'm trying.

Thank you those who support this I'm glad you enjoy.

Snape's POV
The cretin has grown on me. He enjoys reading but is easily disturbed, I've noticed. He will notice something and fidget with his hands, hair, face or glasses. I think he still believes that this is a dream, or I will suddenly hate him for reading.

He loves the "garden", it's my potion ingredients but he enjoys watching me take care of them.

He has finally gotten around to ask questions, a month and week give or take, and he finally asks questions. Sure they are small and insignificant and some might say that he's brave for finally asking but I see it as... intelligent, he asks small things to see my reaction, how many he can get away with and what will make me angry. He is just a child but  do not let it fool you he can be analytical and cunning.

He might not be the brightest right off the bat but he has good instincts. Once he learns something he is not one to forget, making him an average to below average student. By now, I'd say he's a solid average with some outstanding progress. At first I was appalled by his lack of knowledge compared to just Draco, but I had to remind my self, he was "raised" by horrid muggles. Plus Draco has been taught by me for years, truly he should know much more than what he knows. He's better off than Draco was when he started.

I have to remind myself that he is a mere child, often, I have to remind myself he is not his father even more. I am trying to be civil, I guess.  His birthday is in July so I've better get him an acceptable gift, maybe a day off from learning as well, if he's not a brat.

If Voldemort knew Harry Potter was in my house he would kill me on the spot no questions asked, good thing is Lucius likes to boast about how much better his house is, Lord Voldemort has not wanted to ever spring a visit. It still makes me nervous that he could come in at anytime. I think I will tell Harry everything in a weeks time, I would've liked to tell him earlier, but after learning about his past I decided that was a bad idea. Voldemort likes to have meeting before the school year starts so I will have to tell him sometime.

I've given him books on every subject he will be learning and told him to read them, he seems to like learning about Defense Against the Dark Arts, but does not wish to preform them yet. He has read through his potion book many times, he even asked me some very... mature, potions questions. I will take him to my lab tomorrow. There will be a twist, let's see if he passes.

Harry's POV
I woke up early as per usual. Potions is interesting I'm scared that I will not be good at them, so I've reread the book 8 times. Potions are confusing, and he seems to stay in his lab for hours. He said that room is completely off limits and can only be disturbed in a dire necessity. He said I'd be going into his lab tomorrow and I'm stress reading the potion book now.

It's time to head down stairs for breakfast and not freak out I can do this I know this book forward and back, I hope.

After the usual breakfast he brings me into his lab. I look and the calk board it has a list on it, strangely some quantities have dashes as if potions has become a easy breezy throw whatever in a pot.

"You will not be using the book, lets see how well you gather information," he draws out, "It's a mere boil cure shouldn't be too hard." If I wasn't nervous before I was nervous now.

I begin quickly. I've gotten everything, and the color seems right. It's just the last step says "stir counterclockwise five times" it makes no sense. I should just wave my wand over it and bottle it up. I don't know though and he has been sitting and reading, I don't want to disobey and not follow an order but it doesn't seem right. I finally decide, I'm waving my ward over it and bottling it, stirring just doesn't feel right.

I've bottled it and put on my label carefully putting H.P on the bottom, I'm proud of myself that I didn't die in the process but god I hope this is right. I walk up and slowly put it on his desk sputtering "I'm done."

Snape's POV
Well the boy is obviously not a Ravenclaw seeing that he didn't notice I hadn't ever flipped a page in my book and I was watching him while he worked. What he did could actually be used in two different ideas, bravely following his heart then being a Gryffindor, or cunningly breaking the rules then being a Slytherin. I guess I never noticed how similar Gryffindor and Slytherin attributes could be.

Nonetheless this was not a test on what house he would get but how well he could retain information, and brew potions. Clever right? Anyways I look up and pick it up, I've been waited to see if he's failed or not, I'm so ready for him to fail my classes, just like Daddy, but no it is perfect honestly matches my work, I'm dumb founded to say the least, I left out some vital steps per usual (typically they have text books but whatever) he brewed it perfectly consistency, color, smell, everything is just how it's supposed to be. Maybe he does have more Lily then the eyes, or he just got lucky, but he's not incompetent he's proved that at least.

"Nice job, Harry," is all I say as I flick it to one of the shelfs, "You may go now."

"Oh thank you," he sputtered out, "Okay thank you!" He says whilst running out.

"Slowdown," I think, but oh well he looked beyond exuberant. His eyes had lit up like Lily's would when she was happy it had almost made me gasp, he has proven to me that James is apart of him but he shares Lily's kindness to the world,  and I've been too ignorant to notice. I think I need to reevaluate my ways.
