One by one, all the kids got off the bus. They were a little earlier than usual so chatter was making its way around and about the class room.
But Dib overheard a conversation about what happened on the bus that morning.

"He was leaning against his arm!" He heard one say. "Zim looked perfectly fine with it, but Dib looked pretty embarrassed!" Another said. "Now that I think about it, it seems like they're trying to hide something that would be pretty obvious to see through if they didn't try to!"
Dib turned around and glared at the group of people talking about the bus incident. They chuckled and looked back at Dib.

"You have it all wrong! We're not even acquaintances! We're mortal enemies!" Dib said. "Suure." A the kid replied doubtful tone in his voice. Dib felt anger boil up inside him. But then embarrassment took over. "You're blushing an awful lot! Sure you're not even a little more acquaintances?" Another kid asked.
All of a sudden Zim walked into the class, he glanced over at Dib and said, "Ha. What's got you so boiled up? You look like a tomato! And a big one at that!"

Zim chuckled and sat down at his seat. "You lizard, I'm not red! I'm pretty pale to be honest." Dib's full attention was on Zim now."Ok it's time for class! So settle down and shut your forever flapping mouthes!" Miss. Bitters yelled.

It was half way through class when Miss.Bitters said, "Now, many houses around then neighborhood have lost their power, for example, Volley Street, Butcher Street, Market Street-"
Dib completely muffled out Miss. Bitters' voice. Wait... Dib thought to himself, Aside from noticing that this city has really weird street names, doesn't Zim live on Market Street? AH-HA! I KNEW IT! I WAS RIGHT! HE WAS UP TO SOMETHING! Dib was quick to assume and conclude. Dib leaned over his desk at shot a look at Zim like he was saying, I knew it! Zim felt Dib's glare and looked back. Dib smirked, but Zim just looked back in confusion.

Lunchtime rolled around and, as usual, Zim was sitting at an empty lunch table. He didn't have a lunch tray and was staring out the window and kicking crumpled up papers with his feet. All with a blank expression on his face. Dib was looking at him from a table near by with Gaz playing on her Game Slave 6.
"What do you think he's looking at? Maybe trying to get ideas for his next evil plan?" Dib asked. "You really wanna know what I think? I think you're paranoid." Gaz answered.
"And if you're sooo worried, go and ask him. He's probably just bored and looking for something out the window to occupy his mind. But what does it matter anyway? You know that even if he is looking for an idea, his plan will fail. This is Zim!" Gaz said dismissively.
"Well maybe I will go ask him!" Dib walked over to Zim. Zim sighed, "And what is it that you want now Dib-Beast?"
"Oh nothing, just wondering what you're planning." Dib said suspiciously. "I'm not planning anything. And even if I were you would never figure it out!" Zim replied. Dib sat down across from Zim.
"Are you sure about that?" Dib raised an eyebrow. "Zim is sure about everything." Zim answered.
"You can leave now, run back to your sister or something. Just stop bothering me." Zim said.

Dib was secretly writing things in his notebook under the table. Zim noticed that Dib kept looking down, so he checkd the underneath of the table. "Why are you writing things about me in your book?" Zim asked. Dib immediately closed his book. "I don't know what you mean." Dib looked away from Zim trying not to make eye contact.
Zim chuckled, "You're obsessed with me, aren't you Dib-Stink?" Zim asked with a semi flirtatious smirk on his face. Dib blushed a bit, "N-No I'm not. And, obsessed? W-With you? D-Don't flatter yourself!" Dib said. "You can't even deny it." Zim said.
Dib got up from the table. "I...I'll be going now." Dib said with slight embarrassment. On the way back to his table, Dib dropped his pen on the floor without notice.
Lunch ended and everyone got up to leave the cafeteria.
On the way out, Zim picked up Dib's pen, Zim smiled a little and scoffed to himself, he started to analyze the pen.
It had a pretty galaxy design on it, with a planet on the top of it.
What planet is this? Seems like...Hm, I'm not sure I've seen this planet. Zim thought to himself. The planet was a shade of Violet the top, faded into a dark blue in the middle, and then light green at the bottom.
Click. He pressed down on the little planet, and the tip of the pen came out. "Fascinating..." He clicked the pen once more to make the tip go back inside.
He took one last look at the pen before putting the pen in his pocket. And left the cafeteria with everyone else.

We'll skip right to recess

Dib was sitting with Gaz on a bench, he was analyzing Zim's behavior. Zim has his back to Dib, he was looking at a squirrel in a tree storing nuts. Dib was about to speak when Gaz held up one finger to Dib. "No. Shut up. I'm about to beat the last level and if you speak and mess me up... you will have the most regret you ever have had." Gaz's only concern was her game. And she can be pretty scary when she's concerned about her game. She lowered her finger and put it onto the D-Pad on her Game Slave.
In the distance Dib could hear Zim shouting at the squirrel. Dib leaned in and listened closely. "WHAT ARE YOU HIDING FIEBLE CREATURE?! I DEMAND YOU SHOW THE AMAZING ZIIIM!!!"
Meh, nothing important. Dib leaned back out. He reached into the pocket of his coat and...huh?

Why isn't my pen here? I swear I put it in my pocket this morning. Maybe I left it in Bitter's class. No, that can't be right. I was writing with it at lunch! I wonder. Dib contemplated. He looked back at Zim who was still yelling at the squirrel. "Does he realize how much of an adorable idiot he's being right now?" Dib asked Gaz. "Ok, yeah sure." Gaz didn't seem to realize what Dib had said. But Dib noticed.
He thought about what he had said for a moment and then his eyes widened. "Oh no. Oh no no no no. I did NOT just say that!" Dib said to himself. He looked back at the tree. Zim was now trying to climb it and find what the squirrel was hiding.
