Zim was trying to grab the squirrel by it's tail, all the while still screaming at it. Zim managed to grab the squirrel but it scratched and clawed at his face. The squirrel ran up the tree after leaving about 15 claw marks on Zim's face. "MY FACE! MY FACE NOT MY MARVELOUS FACE!!! AAAAAAHHHH!!!" Zim screamed out in agony.
He eventually started to fall out of the tree, Dib noticed this and before he could even think, he jumped up from the bench and ran over to the tree while Zim started to fall.
When Dib finally realized what he was doing he found Zim in his arms. Did he just catch Zim? Did he...save him? Zim looked up at Dib with his scratched up face in shock. "D-DIB-BEAST! PUT ME DOWN!" Zim shouted, pushing himself out of Dib's arms. "G-Gladly!" Dib let go of Zim. Behind his marked face, he could see a bit of dark green blush forming in the corner of his cheeks. Some was forming on Dib's face once again too.
But Dib looked into Zim's eyes for a moment and seen that he was...great full? "You...ok?" Dib asked not making eye contact. Zim brushed some dirt off his sleeve and replied, "I'm fine thank you!" He looked like he hesitated to say something, but ended up saying it. "Y-You...didn't have to do that but...thank you." Dib didn't expect to hear those words come out of Zim's mouth, especially directed at him of all people. "I...well...it was no problem."
Ring-a-Ding Ding! Talk about saved by the bell. Part of an awkward situation avoided. Not fully though.
After school, Dib rushed back to his house and burst through the door and ran up stairs. "What's the rush in your brother?" Membrane asked Gaz. "If we know him, he's probably going back to obsess over aliens. Typical." Gaz sighed.
Dib slammed his door and pulled out his laptop in his bag. He jumped on the bed and quickly started scanning through his files to see if there were any disruptions in his work. Everything seemed fine until the screen turned blue and the same box that he had seen appear on his other "alien hunting screens".
Virus Detected.
"Shoot! I forgot to update to the newest system! I'll have so that later." Dib put to the side.
"I'll have to go and pay a visit to a certain someone, more like something."
Dib made sure he had everything before he took off once more.
