Chapter Nine: I love You

Before you read I want to say thank you to everyone for reading my story.
Secondly, this story is settled at the beginning of the 2nd season and will probably be a bit longer than the others.

It's 8.30 in the morning. You wake up and notice that you are alone in the bed. Where has he gone? You ask yourself as Mac enters the room with a tray in the hands.
"Morning..." he says giving you the object filled with sweets, fruit and a glass of juice. "You didn't have to..." he leans and kisses you. "Yes, I did...In an hour we have to be at the airport to meet an agent..." he moves as to get off of the bed, but you grab his T-shirt and you pull him closer so you can give him a soft kiss. He smiles and finally leave you alone with your breakfast.
After eating and showering, you get ready and both of you drive to the airport. There you see the person of the description. You see Mac's face getting serious as the agent turn around to face you. Perfect! You think. "Niky? What does this mean?" asks the boy. "Hi Mac, hi..." "Y/n. Why are you here Niky?" you question the girl. She pulls a USB stick out from the pocket and gives it to Mac. "Matty will explain everything. I'll be waiting for you as you've finished at the HQ."
Should I trust her? Mac's ex-girlfriend and CIA agent... "I'm not sure I want to know what's really in this..." Mac tells you as you get in the car again.

At the Phoenix Foundation
"Hello, guys. I'm sure you managed to meet the agent so give me the USB stick, please." says Matty when you meet all the team members in the room. "First of all, y/n you won't take part of this mission but you'll work alone on another one. Secondly..." Matty is explaining all the details, but you aren't really listening. Your head is full of thoughts like Why Niky? Why can't it be Cage or another agent?! (yes, Cage is one of your best friends, therefore you know her well).
Lost in your thoughts you don't see the team getting out of the room, well, expect for Mac who gives you a kiss on your forehead before leaving.
"Sorry y/n for not making you take part at this mission but Cage needs some help." tells you Matty. As you hear her name you get serious "Why? What's happening?" you ask confused "She's in big trouble with these men. Probably this mission will last a bit more longer than the normal ones. "Sure." you nod and listen to the boss.

On another plane
You need a plan. A great plan. Fortunately you are a genius in this. You can say that Mac is as great at building objects from nothing as you are at planning. You're a sort of Hannibal from A-Team.
As the time passes you find yourself in Nigeria, where you find your friend. "Cage! Is great to see you. Matty told me everything and I planned something." you say after hugging her. "Well, it's great to see you, too, y/n. You have no idea how much thankful I am."

After two days
"Ok, he should be the last one." you say pushing a man down. "Y/n, we need some help after this." Cage says smiling. You touch your hurting back and laugh "You know, I was thinking the same thing."
The man Cage is looking for is one of her agents and he has unluckily disappeared. The men you're fighting, instead, know something, but they don't say a word. "I must admit they are really strong. I've never failed in an interrogation!" you nod and look at the men on the floor. "You see the tattoo under the chin? Do they have it all?" the both of you start examining the bodies. "Yeah, I think they're part of a terrorist group..." Cage says "Or maybe something else..." you reply.
"I think some other minds will help us a lot!" "Guess so" she answers "Any idea?"

On the way back to LA you remember Niky. Damn! She passed an entire mission with Mac... Or maybe more than one. What if she has taken my place? At the agency or even worse in Mac's heart... "Hey y/n, you didn't say anything about the new job" Cage breaks the silence. "Oh. Well, it's not really different... The only thing that changed is the team." you smile and blush a bit. "Any guy?" you nod and both of you laugh. "I really missed our conversations Cage." she smiles and asks again "Who is he?" "Maybe you would remember Angus MacGyver from the Phoenix Foundation..." "That geek?" she laughs and makes you smile.

"Here we are!" you say entering the building. Mac is the first person you meet. "Hey babe, how are you?" he hugs you tight "Hey... I'm fine, thanks." you take a step back and introduce Cage, who says "Well, fine expect for your back, right?" you and Cage laugh, while Mac seems even more curious.
As you start going into the room he places a kiss on your cheek and puts a hand on your waist "I love you" he says. Maybe he has forgotten Niky... You think smiling at him.
