Chapter 5

"Hyunmi dear! Someone's at the door. Could you get it for me?"my mom shouted through the kitchen who is cooking breakfast for the family.

"I'm coming!"I shouted back from my room.

I lastly look at myself in the mirror, brushing my bangs before hurriedly went down the stairs and straight to the door. I push down the handle of the door as I opened it, revealing a smiling Seungmin.

"Y-You're here early"I spoke up, scratching the side of my head.

"Well yeah! Ready to go?"he questions, still smiling.

Then my mom ask who is at the door as she stepped out from the kitchen and saw Seungmin.

"Oh! Is that your boyfriend?"

I froze for a second as my eyes began to go wide and tried to hide my rosy cheeks. Also stopping my mom saying embarrassing things right in front of him.

"M-Mom! It's not-- He's not my boyfriend!"I stuttered, trying to push my mom away."H-He's just a friend of m-mine!"

"Hello Mrs. Kim"he greeted her with a respectful bow.

S-Seungmin...?!

"He is so handsome! Why don't you join us eat breakfast together?"my mom offered as I stayed still like a statue behind her.

Say no! Please say no!!

"I appreciate the offer but maybe next time"he kindly turned down my mom's offer with an angelic smile.

"T-That's enough mom! I need to go to school now"I butt in the conversation as my mom changed her gaze to me.

"Okay honey! Have fun at school!"she waved her hand to me and Seungmin.

I heaved a sigh after my mom closed the door and hold the strap of my backpack while looking down.

Dang it. My mom is such a pain sometimes and that's why I still love her. I didn't realized that Seungmin was staring at me until I look up to him, our faces were inches apart from each other.

I lean away almost immediately and my cheeks turn a bit red. My heart is pounding a little faster than before. When I tried to look at him from the corner of my eyes, he was still staring at me.

Before I could open my mouth to say something, my stomach growls meaning that I was hungry. He blink his eyes and look at my stomach.

"You're hungry?"

I just look away in embarrassment while holding my stomach and didn't answer him. I heard him chuckle beside me.

Right! I didn't have breakfast today because I want to run away from embarrassment of my mom earlier.

He swing his backpack to the front and start to rummage inside his backpack. When he found what he needs, he gave it to me by tapping it on my arm.

I turn my head to him and saw a bun in his hand. I rose one of my eyebrows to him, asking him if he's really giving it to me.

"Take it. I have more"he smiled.

I slowly took it from his grasp, open the plastic cover and put the bun in my mouth, eating it.

"T-Thank you..."I said in a low voice.

"No problem! As long as your stomach is filled with food, I would gladly to help you"he answered, swinging his backpack back behind his body.

I finished the bun as Seungmin opens a topic about a club throughout our journey to school together. He told me that maybe I should join a club but I still doesn't know what kind of clubs does this school has.
