Chapter 14

No, no, no... This can't be real! I don't know how to react to this. Why is she here today? Wasn't she suppose to come tomorrow?

What if Jihoon falls in love with her again? What if he doesn't want to hang out with me?

Lots of what ifs question lingered into my mind, making me to look like I was staring into space until someone called my name.

"Jihyun!"

I blink twice, snapping back to reality and move my gaze to Jihoon then to a hand from that girl who is waiting for me to shake it.

"It's nice to meet you"she smiled warmly after I shook hand with her.

"Likewise"I said smiling back."I heard that you're his close friend since middle school right?"

"Yes but I'm really happy to see him again for so long!"

She giggled. The bad feeling in my stomach visits again but I tried to ignore it.

"But why are you here today? Wasn't you suppose to come tomorrow?"I bravely asked her while raising one of my eyebrows.

"I can't help myself for being so excited that I couldn't wait any longer to see him and that's why I'm here!"she brightly chimed like a little child.

I heard Jihoon chuckling and went to talk to her to catch up some things. It makes me feel like I'm left out already from their non-stop conversation.

The way he look at her, smiling and letting out a cute chuckle makes my heart somehow aches. The little pain feeling in my chest, I don't like it.

But the way she act, she looks like a good person. She's also sound sweet and nice. I don't think I should judge her that quickly. I shake my head left to right. What am I thinking? I should head back to class before it's start.

I lastly watch them talk as I closed the door behind me and go to my classroom. It's finally recess. Throughout the classes, I mostly spaced out due to thinking too much about Jihoon and Mayuri.

It made Seungmin to feel worried about me not focusing in class but he tried not to ask some stupid question that might offend me.

I got up from my seat, stretching my tense arms and body as I went to find Jihoon if he wants to go eat together. I went up the stairs, searching for Jihoon as I saw him alone in the corridor, who looks like he is waiting for someone.

I ran up to him and shout his name, earning his attention and wave his hand to me.

"Hey! Why don't we go eat together?"I offered, panting lightly.

"Oh sure but I'll ask noona if she wants to join"he answered, changing his gaze to the front.

"Is she--"

"Noona! Do you want to go eat lunch with us?"he said excitedly when Mayuri approaches us.

The boys in the classroom were fawning over her with heart shape in their eyes. They were offering her to go eat lunch with her but she rejected to all of them.

And I was expecting her to reject Jihoon's offer too but I know she wouldn't. She took a glance at me and somehow I saw her wear a disgust face?

"Sure"

She almost immediately cling her hand around his arm making his cheeks turn rosy as ever and she rested her head on his shoulder. He is clearly flustered by now.

I watch them being all lovey-dovey with a pain in my chest. I was following them from behind to the cafeteria. After we got our food, I want to sit down beside him but she's the first one to take the seat.
