Angelina Woods

When I got home after my first day of my internship for the famous magazine, Vogue, I kicked off my heals and pulled off my sweater so I was in a bra and my skirt now. Entering my tiny bedroom I put on a tank top and shorts.

For really being into fashion, I really didn’t know how to dress…me. I could show my friends what would go perfectly together for a party or dinner date or a job interview but I could never find the right clothing for own self. It kinda sucked, I guess.

“So how was that first day at Vogue?” I heard my very good friend and roommate, Margret, call as she walked out of her bedroom with a blanket over her back, slouched as she walked. She was having a really bad cold or maybe flu. She had gotten me the internship in the first place. She would have took the job but she wanted to start her own company and she had told Vogue about me and they took me in.

“Oh erm…it was,” I was trying to think of a word to describe my day. “Different.” Finally I answered.

Different?” She laughed as she grabbed a bottle of wine. I grabbed the two glasses cause of course, I didn’t really want to get sick. “What happened over there?”

I sighed to myself as my mind went threw todays day. “Well, there was a bunch of blonde chicks at front desk, there was a guy that was Asian who was Mr.Hemmings assistant that was pretty hot, and one of his little friends had flaming red hair.” I poured the two glasses of wine for us. After filling them up I drank half of the wine that was in the glass. Oh the sweet taste of wine.

She laughed loudly but shortly afterwards stared coughing. I snorted a little at that cause c’mon, it was pretty funny watching your best friend laughing then choking to death.

“Wow, that is pretty different.”

“I told you it was,” I laughed. “Cheers to the crazy hell of a day for my first internship.” I toasted with a smile. We clinked our glasses together, yelling ‘Cheers’ together and drank up our wine.

By the next morning, I had woken early to get ready to head to work. I made sure I showered, straightened my hair and got dressed. I wore a brownish sweater with leggings under them with some boots since it was the fall and it was starting to get chilly out.

After getting myself done with, I had took a taxi to the closest coffee shop, got Mr.Hemmings his coffee and a bagel for myself then took another taxi to Vogue.

I rushed threw the same big glass doors I walked threw yesterday and down the crowded hallway to the elevators. As I waited to reach the top floor, I used my phone to make sure I didn’t look like a idiot with cream cheese on her face or crumbs cause…no one wants to see that.

When I heard the ding for my floor I walked threw the elevator doors, dropped my bag and coat on my desk and walked into Mr.Hemmings office setting his morning coffee on his very large desk. Finished, I stepped out his office and sat at my desk letting out a sigh of relief.

“Nice to see you on time and ready to work Miss Woods.” Calum smiled as he walked threw the elevator and put his things away and sat at his desk across from me.
