EDITED
A few days later.
You walked down the hall slowly, you were still exhausted from the night before, helping your mother unpack as well as keeping the newborn baby calm. For a four week old, he sure has an attitude. Your feet scraped the floor as you made your way to class, you brought your hands to your face, lightly slapping your cheeks to try to wake yourself up. It honestly, failed to do so.
"Good morning Y/n!" Uraraka smiled, "Did you finish the homework last night? It took me hoouuurrss!" she whined, looking up to the ceiling dramatically. You looked over at her, eyes wide as you realized you completely forgot about the homework. A nervous smile made it's way on your lips as you laughed lightly.
"I-uh, completely forgot," you said, looking down at your feet in, "I was so busy helping my mom unpack the house, I completely forgot about it." You continued to walk forward, but a bit slower now. You didn't look forward to getting lectured about being more responsible with my school work.
"Oh, well, do you want to "go over" our answers?" Uraraka asked, lightly elbowing your side. You looked at her, nodding. "Okay, well let's hurry!" she said, speed walking towards the classroom.
Halfway through the homework, you could feel someone looming over the two of you. "um.. Uraraka.. who's behind us?" you whispered, not wanting to believe it could be Mr. Aizawa. You prayed to yourself that it wasn't Aizawa. The last thing you wanted was Aizawa telling Mr. Snipe that you two were copying off each other.
"Number three, seven and thirteen are wrong." You both jumped, turning to see Todoroki was standing behind you, his hands were in his pockets as his eyes scanned the paper.
"What- but- how?" Uraraka whined, erasing the answers she put down.
"You were supposed to divide on all three of those, not multiply, so the answers would be C, C and A." he said, looking at your paper to notice that the rest of the paper was blank, "Y/N, do you want to see my paper?" he asked, reaching to his desk and grabbing the paper. He set the paper on the desk, leaning over to look at your paper to make sure the rest of your answers were correct.
The smell of his cologne filled your senses, looking at him as his eyes scanned your paper. You were internally screaming. Thankfully, Uraraka spoke up, ripping you out of your thoughts.
"Todoroki! You never share your answers!" Uraraka whisper-shouted, looking between the both of us.
"Oh, um," you glanced up to see his cheeks turning a light pink, "nobody ever asked." He stood back up straight, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"You liar!" she giggled, lightly nudging your arm. You looked at her to see her looking at you, then back at Todoroki and wiggling her eyebrows. Your face turned pink as well, getting overwhelmed by the whole situation. "I'm just playing~" she added, filling in the now blank spots on her paper.
Before the class was over, Aizawa got the classes attention, "As you know, there is a project each semester, you could either do this by yourself, or as partners, the choice is yours. This will be due in two weeks, no later." He said, a stack of paper in his hand as he grabbed a few and set it on the first desk in the row, signaling that it needed to be passed back. As the papers were being passed back, you could hear groans coming from everybody. You read over yours, seeing that you needed to write a paper, as well as created a power point for the paper for you to present to the class. You dropped the paper on your desk, letting your forehead fall on the table.
"Are you okay, Y/N?"
You laughed lightly, looking over at Todoroki who had a concerned look on his face. "Yeah, I just don't know how I'm going to do this project,"
"Do you want to be my partner?" Todoroki asked quietly, you almost didn't hear him. "hmm?" you hummed, leaning in closer to him.
"Do you want to be my partner? We can um, exchange numbers?" he said timidly, he wasn't looking at you, he held the paper up to hide his face "To do the project!" he added, you could see his face was red, nearly matching the scar covering his face.
You chuckled, "Sure!" pulling your phone out to hand it to him. He smiled, taking the phone and adding his number. He went ahead and sent himself a text, telling you he just wanted to go ahead and add your number to his phone. You checked your phone to see that he texted himself and smiley face. "Well, I don't know what we should do the project on," You continued the conversation.
"Well, let's just wait until later to decide."
You didn't even noticed that half of the class was gone, only a few staying behind to talk over the project. You stood up, "I'll see you later Todoroki!" you said, waving him goodbye.
"W-Wait- l-lets walk together?"
"Oh, well, I'm not too far from school," You said, is he really asking to walk me home?! Your face heated up, a boy never asked to walk you home before. You could see the disappointment on his face, making you feel bad. "But we could just go ahead and pick the project on the way, if you want!" You grinned at him, "Oh! And you can meet my cat, Milo!"
"I love cats!" he blurted out, smiling at you sheepishly.
"Well come on!" you grabbed the sleeve to his blazer, pulling him towards the door. With you being in front of him, you didn't even see him use his free hand to cover his face. He was happy, so happy.
