EDITED
From Todoroki:
I made it home :)
Y/N:
omg you made it home an HOUR later?!
I thought you DIED
pls let us take you home next time :((
"Y/N! It's time to get up!" Your mother yelled, knocking loudly on the door, "You're going to be late for school!" All you could do was groan. You ended up staying up late texting Todoroki, he was good at keeping conversations through text, something you weren't used to. Everyone from your old school was a dry texter who only messaged you when they needed homework or if you were in the group project with them. "Maybe if you didn't stay up so late talking to a boy you would be ready by now!"
Once you got up from the bed, you noticed it was the nineteenth. The one day you dreaded out of them all. You usually don't let the day bother you, but the last time you went the doctor told you that you needed to talk this time, not just sit with the ocean noises playing in the background as you say on the leather couch, holding the pillow. You actually had to speak about what happened at your aunt's house, and why you needed to accept it instead of putting it to the back of your mind.
You didn't understand why she pushed you to accept it, it never bothered you. Your aunt was now getting the help she needed, even if it meant you had a scar covering your left arm, and nightmares whenever you went to sleep. But, as always, you pushed the thoughts to the back of your head.
"You would be ready by now," you mocked her, pulling your sock up your leg as you made your way to the kitchen. When you made your presence in the kitchen, you noticed there was another body at the kitchen table, it was none other than Todoroki. His eyes met yours, his already red face somehow getting darker. "Oh, when did you get here?" you asked, sitting at the table in front of the dry cereal. You grabbed the carton and poured the liquid in the glass bowl, noticing that he was eating some toast. She doesn't even make me breakfast! She always puts a show on for the guest, you thought.
"o-oh, well-"
"Long enough for be to tell him not to stay up all night texting you," You mother cut him off playfully, "Just respect the curfew on school nights, that's all I care about."
"Yes ma'am," Todoroki said, "I apologize for my actions,"
You couldn't help but laugh, he's so dense around your mother, even knowing that she's one of the most carefree people in the world. "Relax Todoroki!" you said your hand patting hit back. "Stop being so dense!"
After School
"Hey Y/N, do you wanna work on the project some more?" Todoroki asked, he was sitting on his desk, his legs swaying back and forth in front of him.
"oh, I can't today, actually," You told him, you felt your throat get dry when you realized the day school day is actually over. "I have a doctors appointment,"
"Oh really?" he questioned, he followed me out the classroom a bit closer than he usually would, "Why didn't you tell me?"
A chill ran up your spine, his tone was cold. "Yeah, i-it's just a check up," You looked at him, his face was emotionless as he continued to follow you to the front of the school. "It's okay! We can get together tomorrow and do some more." You were in edge, but you didn't let it show. You smiled at him, even though your gut told you to run away.
And thankfully, it did. His eyes went to a softer of blue and gray, "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow!" he smiled back at you, going his separate way. You felt your body relax; you didn't really hold this against Todoroki, he made it known the previous day that he wanted to get the project done before the weekend, so you two could go over it to see if there were any mistakes or wanted to redo a part of it. It was just his straight-A-student behavior, you told yourself.
You looked to see your mom in the car, the music blaring as she sung along. Mom, no, you screamed internally, walking towards the car that everyone was starring at. "Mom.. why?" you asked dramatically, your hands covering your face.
"I had to let everyone know I'm the cool mom!" She replied, half yelling that out the window. She noticed Todoroki across the street, smiling towards the car, "Oh! Hey Todoroki! Sorry you can't come ov-"
You quickly reached over and covered her mouth, "Mom! Shut up! Please!" your free hand turned the radio down, "Doesn't the baby have sensitive ears?! Why are you blaring the music?!" You were shocked he wasn't crying, but you were too embarrassed to think it over. Your mother was no longer in front of the school, going towards the doctors office.
"Relax Y/N! Don't be so dense!" She mocked me from earlier this morning, but after she said that, she took a deep breath and said calmly, "Listen, I know today is hard because you have therapy, I'm only trying to lighten the mood," You could feel your heart skip a beat, her sudden change of tone was the same tone she used when she spoke to me at the hospital. She most likely doesn't even realize it, it's just her motherly instincts kicking in- and I'm probably over thinking the whole thing. I need to relax.
"I know, I'm sorry," You whispered, your eyes meeting the floor of the car, "I-I just don't want to be here,"
"I know N/N(nickname), but this is one day closer to the end of it, think about it that way."
From Todoroki:
Are you okay?
Y/N:

From Todoroki:
