"Mom! What are you doing?" 

Before I could go up to her, Todoroki took charge and grabbed the very large, and heavy vase that she always put on the porch. The rest of the stuff must've came today, great. "Oh um, I'm sorry for taking it.. um.. where do you want it?" Todoroki asked, he didn't make eye contact, feeling awful for taking it from her mom. A complete stranger.

"Oh, it's okay!" Your mother smiled at him, "Just place it to the left of the door! Thank you so much." Todoroki nodded, walking up the walkway, "Who is that?" your mother whispered, her smile never leaving her face, "He's so cute!" 

"His name is Todoroki, we're doing a project together." you said, you both stop right behind Todoroki who already met Milo. His ears were down, his tail flicking back and forth. "Milo! Be nice!" you yelled, going past Todoroki to pick up the feline. The hairs on his back were up as well, a growl emerging from his teeth when Todoroki turned to look at your mother. 

"H-Hello! My name is Todoroki Shoto!" He said a bit nervously, he smiled at her, his fingers twiddling around as he continued to speak, "You have a very lovely daughter and home!" 

Your mother couldn't help but laugh, all these kids are always using their manners, which in an aspect was good, but they didn't need to put up such a fuss around her. She continued to laughed, placing her hand on his head, scuffing his hair up a bit. "Relax kid, there's no need to be so nervous. I'm not a stick in the mud like most moms." she laughed, "And don't worry about Milo, he acts this way towards her dad too. I think it's just new people." She said, looking at the cat whom was still glaring at him. 

"Are you guys starting on the project today?" Your mom asked, "Cause if so you'll have to be stuck in the kitchen since it's the only room unpacked," 

"Well.. we haven't chose a person to write the project about yet.. There's just so many people in the world," you shrugged, looking at Todoroki, who gave a slight smile. 

"Well.. this is for literature right? Why don't you go over the one guy you like? Edgar Allen Poe?" Your eyes got wide, looking over at Todoroki, "I mean, you have all his books and even a coffee mug-"

"Okay mo-"

"That's a great idea! I'm a fan of his work too," Todoroki stated, "I have the movie The Crow, we can even mention that in the report, maybe make a power point and put a few clips from the movie in there." You were in shock, not many people actually enjoy Edgar Allen Poe, since his writings were usually dark, nobody ventured out towards him. "What do you think, Y/N?" He asked. 

"Yeah, Let's do it!" you nodded, setting Milo down in the pot, "Hurry before he hops out!" you said, your mom opened the door and allowed Todoroki in first, then herself. You made a quick beeline in the house, slamming the door before Milo could make it in. "I really am sorry about Milo- wait, did you want to start now?"

"Might as well," From the first day of school, you've never seen him smile this much until now. He hardly ever smiled in school, let alone spoke in school. It was like he was a whole new person. "But I don't have my laptop with me or the movie," 

"I can get mine, I'll read his books and you do the internet stuff?" You suggested, hoping to God he will say yes. You really would rather enjoy your hobby of reading instead of research. You loved the writer, but not enough to look up his whole life story. 

"Sounds good," 

"After I check on the baby I'll make you guys some snacks, is there anything in particular you want?" Your mother asked, you were about to answer when you noticed she wasn't looking in your direction, but Todoroki's. 

"Oh, I'm not picky Ms. L/N, I'll be thankful for anything you make." he said kindly, glancing over at you.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you home? From how you explained it, you live far from here." Your mother said, you could tell she was worried about him. "It wouldn't bother us at all," She added, but Todoroki shook his head.

"Thank you, but I would rather walk. The weather is quite nice today."  

"Okay, well text Y/N when you're home to let me- us know you made it home safe!" she said, her arms bringing the baby up to her chest to burp him. "It's not safe at night anymore, especially with the that terrorist group out." 

Todoroki nodded, "I will, goodnight." he smiled, bowing partially before he walked out the door. 

"Ohh my goood Y/N!" she squealed, "The very first boy you bring home, and he's this cute! Even has amazing manners?! He even has brains!" She heard a burp come from Hisao, which made her stop the patting motion. "Y/N, you have to invite him over more!" 

"Mom.. you do realize you're married.. right? And that he's a minor?" 

Your mother's face went red, she gave you a playful glare, "I'm just glad you finally brought a boy home!"  she hung her wrist over, snickering.

"Mom!" You laughed, "Yeah, sure mom."

"Y/N! Stop! You're making me seem like a pervert!"
