Xander and Cain are eating breakfast within the dining area of their home. Cain had a nervousness about him as Xander sat rather quietly. Cain found himself not being able to eat. Xander noticed this and put his fork down. "You really should eat something, Cain." Xander said looking at him. "I'm just a bit anxious. I'm actually surprised that you are as calm as you are about this." Cain said. "Oh, I am not too worried. Maya was taught by my sister and spent a bit of time with your mother to apparently deal with her ancestors voices, that being said both of them were equally insane when it came to teaching magic. So the less I know, the better." Xander said calmly. "What all could mom do, uncle Alex?" Cain asked. "She mainly created illusions, but she could also enter people's minds and make them believe the existence of certain things. If it wasn't for us growing up with her, she could have fooled us as she did others. Why do you ask?" Xander said. "I just always wondered. I hear so many speak of her and yet I can barely remember anything about her. In that aspect I guess I am a bit envious of the Trickster, he spent most of the time with her before she died." Cain said as a melancholy look appeared on his face. Xander looks at him with a sense of disdain. "I miss her too, Cain. The trickster may have stolen many moments with her, but she was also the one person he could not trick she knew the entire time that it was not really you while the whole time we were under the belief that it was. She was quite perceptive like that. She believed that your memories were shared. So even though the trickster was the main one in control, you have access to those memories. They're just buried, deep within your subconscious. As you gain more control over your powers you may in fact be able to find the doorway that leads to them." Xander said. "I just wish I knew more about her. I feel like I am trying to fill the shoes of someone I barely know. Perhaps if she was still here it would be easier, but..." Cain said. Xander rose from his seat and walks over to Cain sitting on the table. "Don't take it too close to heart. Priscilla was a woman who had her own goals. Don't try to fill her shoes. Make your own, and that starts with you learning how to use your magic. I was against it at first, but now I see how it is necessary. You need to be able to defend yourself." Xander said. White smoke enters the room and Maya walks out of the smoke as it materialized into Samsara. "I hope you didn't mind, I let myself in." Maya said smiling. "Oh, no. I am not as particular about it as my sister." Xander said. "Wonderful, do you have everything packed, Cain?" Maya asked. "I do." He said walking over to the suitcase he packed. "Good, we can head off." Maya said waving Samsara. "Oh, I made breakfast if you wanted to take some with you." Xander said. "Oh that's fine, Xander, no offense, but I don't eat food from other magical beings. Not to mention I would really like to make the most of our time, due to Fuurgrim's request of adding the local nephilim to his preposterous games." Maya said as Samsara walked over to them and envelop them in smoke. "Well I'll see you all in a week." He said as they disappeared into a cloud of smoke. "If she was truly taught by my crazy sister then she is going to kill him. Ah, he'll be fine. The less I think about it the better I'll feel about it." Xander said as he walked back to his seat.
Maya, Samsara, and Cain materialize in a brightly lit room within a house. The room was filled with numerous bookshelves lined with several books. There was also a desk with a few books open on the table. There were a couple of glass cases around the room that held numerous weapons. "Is this your home?" Cain asked. "It's my parent's old home, moved by the miracle of magic." Maya said. "So when do we start?" Cain said laughing nervously. "Oh, we start right now. I just need you to do one thing..." Maya said. "What do you need me to do?" Cain asked as Seth materialized behind him from black smoke. He placed his hand on Cain's head. Cain's eyes widened as he then passed out. Seth caught him and put him over his shoulder. "I need you to rest up. Take him to the catacombs underground. Tie him to the chair. He'll work on the hardest lesson, which is the first, and Samsara run his things to the guest room. It'll be there for him once he's done with his first lesson." Maya said as she walked over to one of the cabinets and grabbed a dagger. "Hey, Sam?" Maya called. "Yeah, what's up?" Samsara replied. "This is the dagger my father used to capture you and Seth right?" Maya asked. "Yeah, that's that little bitch of a dagger. Why?" Samsara asked. "I need to keep a certain aetherial at bay, I know all to well of how hearing voices can be quite distracting." Maya said. "Maya, I was wondering, my old protege reached out to me in regards to training his charge. I wanted to know if I would be allowed to assist." Samsara asked. Maya chuckles "Sam, I don't know how many times I have to tell you that you don't need my permission to do anything. You're free now, as long as you don't harm anyone. Seth will be more than enough to help me with Cain." Maya said. "Of course I won't, except maybe the little girl I need to teach. I shall return within a week." Samsara said. "Very well." Maya said.
