Cain is within his room still asleep. A flash of lightning appears in his bedroom revealing Rahim as he walks up to him in their school uniform. "Cain, it's time to get up for school." Rahim called out. Cain sat up, not recognizing the voice and glanced at Rahim standing in front of his bed. He becomes startled realizing there was a stranger in his room. "Hey. Who are you? How did you get in here? Uncle Alex!" Cain called out. "Calm down, Cain." Rahim said. Xander busts through Cain's door in his night wear, cane in hand, eyes glowing. He then realized that it was Rahim and relaxed letting out a sigh. "You are a lot earlier than I had expected, Rahim. How is Dahlia?" Xander asked. "My mom is quite alright. She said to send her regards to Eliza." Rahim said. "Wait. Uncle Alex you know who this is?" Cain asked. "Ah, right, this is Rahim Brodeur. He is your charge selected by your father." Xander said. "Charge? Is that like a mentor or something cause that was never explained to me." Cain said. "You could say that." Rahim said. "I will leave you to him, Cain. As far as learning magic, he can help you somewhat. Unfortunately I don't have access to teaching you magic without a conduit. So I am making preparations for others who may be able to. Psychics are pretty much an endangered species nowadays so." Xander said as he walked off closing the door behind him. Cain looks at Rahim "So what, you're supposed to be my life coach?" Cain asked. "In a way, I am pretty much supposed to show you the ways of the nephilim starting with how to live like one, as well as fight like one. It is tradition that we have one appointed to us at birth. An agreement is made between the parents and when the time comes it's put into action. My charge was my own father." Rahim said. "Right, Fuurgrim did say that metaphysicals were children of other nephilim. So he assigned me a metaphysical type instead of an aetherial type? That doesn't make much sense at all. What could you show me?" Cain asked. Rahim gained an irritated look on his face. "Get ready and I will gladly explain everything. You have 30 minutes." Rahim said disappearing in a flash of lightning. "His perk must be teleportation or something." Cain said.

Time proceeded as Cain got ready for school. He left out of his room and headed downstairs to see Rahim and Xander talking. Rahim rose from the table. "Are you ready?" Rahim said. "I am." Cain said. They then head out the door towards school.

"So what made our parents put us together?" Cain said. "Because we are both technically genetic anomalies. We are both half-breed aetherial nephilim. You from a celestial birth and me from a metaphysical. I may be a reaper, but I can still cast magic without drawing Ether from somewhere first. This was mainly due to my bloodline. I am what is known to magical beings as an Elemental. Elementals are kin to what most would believe are mythical gods, who were actually just ancient nephilim. I am kin to the bloodline of Shango, African god of thunder and lightning. Elementals are naturally born with what is known as an aetherial tether. Essentially it means we can perform magic without any sort of ritual, spell, circle, square; none of that. We technically are magic, but I am also metaphysical due to my father being a nephilim. My reaper trait is being able to transform into whomever I want, but I can also freely use electricity magic that runs in my bloodline. Elementals also age a lot slower than most mortals. I may not look like it but I am actually 103 years old. My mother has been alive for around 700 years." Rahim explained. "Wait! How is that possible?" Cain said. "Well nephilim don't age as fast either. You've met Tralexei, she is around 176 years old. Young for us, is quite old for mortals." Rahim explained further. "Wait. So do nephilim just walk among us without anyone realizing?" Cain asked. "Well not all, active aetherials usually cannot due to this thing called Dominion. You and I however are inactive as our aetherial half is separated from our nephilim half. Dominion is pretty much the aura or spiritual energy we all give off. The stronger the supernatural being the higher the dominion. The archangels and demon lords technically cannot roam the mortal realm. Their dominion is strong enough to kill mortal before they could even get near them. We are actually an endangered species due to all aetherials being exiled to Necrohaven." Rahim said. "What is Necrohaven?" Cain asked. "It was a pocket dimension that was created by the first death upon the beginning of the mortal accords, which are the supernatural compromises that were made by God, the Devil, and a powerful magical being. It's the thing that has 4 archons in place to govern mortal affairs, us reapers and Fuurgrim to govern the affairs of souls in Limbo, Gabriel control of Heaven's forces, and Amadeus in control of Hell's forces. As well as all nephilim, unless metaphysical, are completely prohibited. Exceptions are Celestials who serve underneath Angels and Demons, as well as the 4 horsemen being the only aetherial nephilim allowed to remain within Heaven and intervene in the affairs of mortals or Limbo if ever need be. They must also maintain the order of the accords seeing to it that they are obeyed." Rahim said. "It sounds like they're a lot of rules to this." Cain said. "Well they are here for a reason beyond most people's understanding. Mainly to keep nephilim as slaves because the Celestials don't trust us. Sometimes I wish it were similar to the older days of Shango where nephilim lived among the mortals and worked as ways to communicate thoughts and ideas." Rahim said. "So being a aetherial do you get much backlash for it?" Cain asked. "All the time about it. Cole never lets me forget how different I am from the rest of them. Which is why I usually rather be in my own space." Rahim said.
