Cain is sitting in his room with his books in preparation to return to school and his mortal life. "Today is the day I learned the truth about the Trickster, and also that I have a brother." He thought to himself upon standing. "Not to mention the realms are now in danger because of me channeling the Trickster's power. Everyone keeps telling me to just continue with life as usual, and if something comes up they will inform us of what to do." He thought as he heard a knock at his door. He walked to the door and opened it to see Xander. "I see you made it back safely." He said. "Yeah, I did." Cain replied. "I take it you returned with Karin?" Xander asked. "I did, Rahim as well. He wanted to update his mother and uncle as to the status of everything." Cain answered. "Well then, I guess the elementals would have to make their preparations. I myself am also just returning from Fuurgrim directly." Xander said. "So what exactly is about to happen?" Cain asked. "Don't you worry your head about it. Come with me, I need to show you something." Xander said as he turned away from the room. Cain followed behind him. They proceed down the hall to Xander's study. Xander walks over to a box on the shelf over the fireplace. "Please take a seat." He said. Cain sits in a seat. Xander brought the box over to his table and sat in his chair. He opened the box and pulled out a chain with a ring on it. The ring was silver and quite whimsical in design. It contained several runic marks along the band and held a violet gemstone. "This ring belonged to your mother. She left this with me to give to you when you turn 18, but I don't believe I should wait any longer seeing as to how much you've learned in a short amount of time. So I am giving it to you a bit earlier than usual." Xander said. He handed it to Cain. "This was really hers?" He said as he held it looking at it. "Yes, I felt as though you may not have been a ring person so I thought you may prefer to wear it around your neck instead." Xander said. "Yeah, I would have. You really do know me Uncle Alex." Cain said. "Yes I do, Cain. After everything that happens. I may not be the same uncle that you remember." Xander said. "What do you mean?" Cain asked. "I just may be different from how you know me now. I just want you to know that I am quite proud of you." Xander answered. "So why are you speaking as if you're going to no longer be with me." Cain asked. "Don't worry. I will be here with you, just different. But it's time for you to rest. You return to your class tomorrow." Xander said with a smile. Cain then stood up and walked out of the room. "Tomorrow marks a altercation that will change everything. For once in my life, I am no longer certain about my future or if I honestly have lived as I truly wanted." Xander thought as he leaned back in his chair. "Hm, I guess I'll meet the real me tomorrow, the part I have worked so hard to leave behind me." He continued as he closed his eyes.

Cain wakes the next morning to Xander at his door in his usual routine. Cain gets out of bed and noticed the Trickster standing on the wall as he walked to get ready. "I'd thought that today was going to be a pretty normal day." Cain said. "It will be, as far as today I am merely an observer. Nothing more." The Trickster said. Cain threw on a pale orange button down. As he closed the buttons the Trickster noticed the ring dangling from his neck. A look of shock came across his face. "Where did you get that ring from?" He asked. "I got it from Uncle Alex, he said it belonged to my mother." Cain said. "Well he lied. That is my ring that was given to me by our father. I used to secretly wear it around my neck until I was old enough to fit it on my finger." He said as he held up his hand to show the same ring already on his finger. "But how did he get it from her?" Cain asked. "Because she probably stole it from me the moment they did whatever they did to me-- er, us --that day." He said. "I don't know, I feel like that may be a far reach of her taking it only for it to make it's way back to us." Cain said. "Whatever reason. It doesn't matter. You just make sure you take care of that ring." He said sternly as he disappeared. "Well this ring must mean a lot to him." Cain said to himself.

Cain then walks out of the room and headed downstairs to meet Xander. They grab all of their things and then leave.

Upon reaching the school Cain noticed Tralexei, Karin, Angelo, and Rahim all waiting for him. He leaves the car as Xander waves him off. He reached the group and they started walking to class. "I wonder what will be talked about in class today?" Tralexei asked. "Probably some bullshit I don't care about." Rahim replied. "Or shit we already know repeated to us again." Karin said laughing. "It's still something weird about returning to normal life after the past couple of months." Cain said. "True, but everyone recommended that we proceed through our normal life today. Especially Fuurgrim, he believes that we will treasure days like this. Where you momentarily return to your former life, and reminisce when things were a lot simpler." Angelo said. "To think that this is where we all first met." Karin said.
