Chapter 7: Skills vs Talent

As it was a new day and the starting of the tournament you knew you would be happy to test your skills on opponents while training. The tournament was held in a cave system called the underground. Yakan knew where it was and showed you, for a cave it was surprisingly well lit. As you entered the tournament grounds finally after a 5 minute walk through the cave you looked at the participants and checking how powerful they were by glancing at them.

Yakan: Are you worried?

[Y/N]: Not much but i can sense that some of these participants have unbelievable stand power.

Yakan: Well Don't sweat it, were not here to win anyway it's just training.

[Y/N]: Your right but at least the tournament starts in 20 minutes, so we have a lot of time on our hands at the moment.

Yakan: Come on Lets check the tournament bracket.

You and Yakan checked the tournament bracket and found some familiar names. But mostly Zenneth and Kam caught your attention. there were the total of 16 people participating in the tournament out of the 16 their were You, Yakan, Kam, Seni, Zenneth, Sierra and a bunch of others you didn't know. As Zenneth finally arrived to the tournament ground you were happy to see him again.

[Y/N]: YOOOO Zenneth.

Zenneth: Sup [Y/N] Long time no see.

Yakan: I see you brought Sierra with you, I guessing you both were training together.

Yakan would have a grin on his face and Zenneth would be blushing.

Zenneth: We were training our Stands nothing else dude.

[Y/N]: So what training method did you guys do.

Zenneth: Mostly Sparring to develop new ways to use our stands in battle. Also Sierra has only beaten me 11 times out of 30.

Yakan: Well i can already guess you and Melleo would make the semifinals.

[Y/N]: Who's Melleo.

Zenneth: My Big Sister.

[Y/N]: If she can make it to the finals then what rank is she then.

Yakan: Emperor Rank A.K.A. #1 of the King's Class. Melleo is the strongest stand user to exist and she hasn't lost a fight since before she trained into using her stand for battle. She can possibly beat Yin with her power.

[Y/N]: How did she get so strong then.

Zenneth: The greatest stand mentor of all, X.

[Y/N]: Who's X.

Zenneth: X is a stand user who is way stronger than the High 6 and he is Mello, Sierra and My teacher.

[Y/N]: Maybe i should train with hi-

A loud Buzzer went off meaning it was time for the tournament to start. The first match would begin as it was someone named Charlie with his stand Golden Sage vs a girl named Mia with her stand Indigo Rock. As the rest of the participants watched from the sidelines along with the crowd.

Charlie: You dare challenge a new member of the High 6.
Mia: I'll end this battle for you quickly.

As the fight began Charlie summoned a tree as it charged for Mia but her stand went through it. Charlie hesitated and Indigo Rock appeared before Golden Sage But he went for a punch, but it turns out it was a fake and the real Indigo Rock appeared behind him and chopped his shoulder, dislocating it. Charlie screamed in pain then fainted. As the medical team took him to the infirmary Mia moved in the bracket. Next match was Kam vs Dojin and Kam was happy to fight someone and had a wicked grin on him.

Kam: You should dropout before something bad happens.
Dojin: I have pride to Jackass.

As the match began Dusty Phantom used it teleportation ability and unleashed a rush attack on the opponents stand Dim Water and ending the match in the instant. Kam then stared at hoping to fight you later on.

Matches would past, Kam would make it into the semi finals by defeating Mia. Zenneth Sister Melleo would make it into the finals after defeating Seni and Yakan forfeited. Zenneth beat me and Jośe and Sierra Beat W and Dez. As the tournament was in the semi finals stage they decided to call it a day and continue tomorrow.

[Y/N]: Yo why did u forfeit against Melleo today.
Yakan: Because I didn't want to die.

After we tournament ended for the day I spent the day improving myself by sparring with Yakan.
