Colby's POV

"Colby wait!" Sam pleaded as I got out of the bed & grabbed my suitcase.

"No! You lied to me! For years!" I said loudly causing Hunter to wake up.

"JUST LISTEN!" Sam yelled making me become quiet as I picked up Hunter to calm her down. Sam came & took her & she instantly calmed down. He continued to hold her as he spoke a lot softer. "How did you almost kill them?" I asked.

"I started a fire in front of all the doors & windows in the bottom floor of the house & they had to get out from upper story windows as I watched from outside." He said looking down.

"I wouldn't do that now though! That was the old me Colby I promise."

"I know. Trust me I know. How do you know that they want to kill you so you dont hurt us?" I asked as Sam & I both sat on the bed.

"I found my mom in Ralph's. I went to run but she stopped me & we talked. She explained everything. She left my dad & so did my sister. They arent part of the hunting squad anymore. I actually want you to meet them when I know 100% they can be trusted." I nodded.

"Damn. That's crazy." He nodded in agreement.

"That's life." We heard a soft knock on the bedroom door. I opened it to reveal Brinlee standing there.

"Hey sweetie. What's wrong?" I asked.

"I heard you 2 yelling. So I wanted to make sure you were okay." She explained.

"Yeah. Everything is fine hunny. Go back go bed."

"Okay." She shut the door & returned to her room.

"I promise I won't hurt you guys. Just... Please don't leave."

"I'm sorry I reacted before listening I just panicked." I said putting my suitcase away again.

"I know baby I'm sorry I kept this from you." He said putting Hunter back in the bassinet. "What would you say about going on a vacation? Just me and you?" He looked at me wanting me to agree.

"Where would we even go? And what about the girls?" I asked very taken aback.

"You've always wanted to go to Hawaii." My eyes went wide. Hawaii is my dream destination in life I would be thrilled to go there even for a short while. "As for the girls I am sure Lisa would not mind having two visitors for a week maybe two we would just have to ask her." I smiled knowing Sam was always good at making me feel better.

"Asking Lisa can wait till tomorrow you know?" I looked at Sam suggestively. He wouldn't look at me. "Also we could put Hunter in her room for the night if you want?" He still wasn't fully paying attention to what I said. I noticed him staring at his phone. "SAM!" I said loudly enough to catch his attention but not to wake Hunter or for Brinlee to hear.

"What? Sorry I was looking at flights and resorts so we can start planning our trip..." I cut him off by kissing him deeply. 

"I was saying we could go put Hunter in her room for the night so we could have some fun." I said after pulling away from the kiss I initiated. "Hey ready for Round two?" I joked walking into the bedroom. All I saw was out bathroom light on but no response from Colby. I walked over to see him standing there frozen. "What's wrong?" I asked concerned. I looked where he was looking and froze myself. Impossible.
