Trivean's POV

We crashed through the door to the throne room, weapons drawn and ready. The room was lined on the outside by members of the order with King Harlet in the throne. The walls were adorned high with dark stones and banners and the few Order members were wearing dark cloaks or black armor to hide their faces and bodies.

"Ahhhh... So, my soldiers are a pathetic disgrace indeed," said Harlet as he rose from his throne. "Well, welcome, mercenaries. I'll keep this brief as to wait for whatever other band of brain-dead soldiers that are thrown at me." Harlet was adorned with dark robes with gold symbols on them, but even under that I could see the pale skin and deathly eyes.

"Excuse you," said Dermo as he readied a spell. "I'm not quite as brain-dead as you think."

"He's getting to you Dermo, please, focus from now on," said Smoa as he drew his dagger.

"Okay, everyone, CHARGE!" I yelled. We rushed through the room, spreading out as to dodge the magic from the only mage in the room. I locked eyes with him and readied my sword. A blast of fire shot at him as I heard the usual megalomania filled laugh of Xero ringing in the air. I turned back to see a large soldier in armor charging me. I aimed the blade of my sword at the figure, only for Druqi to rush in and grab him, charging him into the wall.

Another figure tried to attack my side. I turned to face them only to see a shadow quickly disposing of them, only revealing that he was Smoa for a split second.

I turned to Harlet, rushing at him. A series of Frotj's arrows covered me as Metal played some epic music and shot lightning from his guitar, which I have to admit was amazing. I rushed at Harlet, raising my blade at his head. I thrusted at him, yelling a barbaric yell as I did so. I was stopped by a blade meeting mine, parrying it and stopping my strike.

I deflected the counter attack then locked blades with Harlet, who was wielding an ornate long sword that I would have loved for my collection. "You pathetic fool," said Harlet a his eyes started to glow from under his hood. "You realize you were sent to die." A sudden burst of fire came from his eyes, scorching the fur on the side of my head.

I let out a slight cry of pain, disengaging from him to quickly put out the fire. He grabbed me by my throat, lifting me up above the ground. I grabbed my sword, trying to thrust it into him. He deflected it and pressed it against the ground, tightening his grip on my throat. I tried to break his arm with my free hand, desperately trying to escape.

"Now, now, young one. Don't be so sad. You at least got to me. More than some can say. Don't worry. I'll kill your friends quickly in honor of you," said Harlet as he tightened his grip on me. A sudden spear shot through his arm, tearing into it and causing it to go limp. I looked over to see Spero now only holding a knife. He was quickly surrounded by soldiers, but was confident as always.

I turned back to see Harlet breaking off part of the spear and pulling the other part out of his arm. I didn't hesitate as I grabbed Starfallen, slashing up at his arm, severing it from him. I kept slashing, only hitting his other hand that had some kind of magical barrier to parry it. "You RUNT!" Exclaimed Harlet. "You failure of civilized person!"

"Mind if we skip the whole insulting thing? I just want to get this mission over with," I said.

"Fine, MAGES! SOLDIERS! TO ME!" Ordered Harlet. There was no rumbling of the halls from footsteps, no chanting of mages. Only the chaos of the room.

"What? No... NO!" Exclaimed Harlet.

"We took care of the mages," I said.
