One More Chance (16+) (Teukchul)

What Comes Next?

Leeteuk's POV 

After we got everything out in the open we sat in silence for a few moments.  

"What comes next?" Heechul said shakily. I then sighed deeply as I caressed his cheek lovingly. 

"I won't loose you again. We're going to fix this." Heechul then gave me a soft smile. 

"You've already said that, but how are we going to do it?" 

"Shay and I already went shopping for your present. We already called Hee-Jin, and she's picking up your present after work." Heechul then bit his lip. "What is it?" I asked. 

"What if that doesn't work?" He asked. 

"Then I'll keep coming back to this moment in time, until I can find a way to keep you all alive." Heechul then let a tear slip from his eye. 

"What if you can't, Teukkie?" 

"I will." 

"But what if you can't." He said as tear fell from his eyes. "Teukkie, I want you to promise me something." I then scooted closer to him. 

"Anything." He then wiped his eyes, and spoke with a broken tone. 

"If you can't change things, then I want you to promise me something." But before I could say anything he continued. "If you can't save us, then I want you to move on. Completely. I want you to move away from here, find someone else, get a good job, have a family, and live with a whole heart. I don't want you to stop your life, because of something you weren't able to change." I then felt my eyes grow wet, and my throat got yet another lump in it. 

"Why are you saying this?" He then gave me a sad smile as he wiped my tears with his thumb. 

"Just because I may not be able to live doesn't mean you can't. I love you, Teukkie. I don't want you to put your life on hold if something happens to me. It's not right, and it's not fair." He then grabbed my hand, and squeezed it tightly. "Please Jungsu. Please promise me." He pleaded as I sat there in silence. I honestly didn't want to promise him this, because if he was right, then that means I would have to let him go. Which is something I've never wanted to do. 

"I don't want to. I don't want to think about having to live without you again."

"Jungsu-"

"But, if this is what you want, then I'll do it. I don't want to, but for you I'd do anything." He then sobbed hard, and pulled me into a hug. I just hope that he isn't right this time.
