Courtney's POV:
Months went by and calls from Sicheng quickly became less and less and eventually none at all. My heart was broken and I was still not over that one night I had spent with him ages ago. I wished I could go back to that night over and over again. I sighed and wiped my tears away, making a cup of coffee before sitting down on the couch and turning on the tv. I sighed as the usual boring stuff was on tv, until something caught my eye. My heart dropped as I saw a news broadcast about the solo heir to a multi million dollar company was going to be married in a week, right here in Hong Kong.
He was to be married to an heiress to another multi million dollar company. The moment I saw the picture of the two along with the names pop up on the screen, I felt sick. It was Sicheng, Sicheng was the son of a business tycoon and solo heir to the company and now he was getting married to this random girl. I felt a mix of anger and sadness. I threw the remote across the room and grabbed my phone, so badly wanting to text him but knowing he would never respond. I decided to look up more about this wedding and figure out where it would be, just so I could see him one last time.
I decided I was going to go to this wedding, but the problem is, how was I suppose to get in. I can't just be like oh yeah, I had sex with the groom one time and I'm in love with him, where do I sit?
A few days later:
I decided to wear a really sexy dress under a chef coat, so if I got to talk to Sicheng, maybe I could get his attention and the chef coat would have to be to disguise myself. I curled my hair and fixed my makeup and sprayed on the same perfume I had worn the night I met him. I took a deep breath before putting my shoes on and grabbing my phone and keys before leaving, getting into my car and heading to the villa where the wedding would take place. As I drove I thought about if this was even a good idea or not. What if he actually did want to marry this girl and I would be getting in the way? What if he was over me?
I turned up the music loudly and drove all the way to the villa the wedding would be at. As I pulled up, I noticed how beautiful the place was, it was only in the works for the upcoming wedding but it was really nice. I got out and focused on making an impression and not getting caught at the same time. The moment I saw the actual caterer going towards the building, I booked it. "Hi, are you the caterer for the wedding?" I asked. He turned and looked at me, eyes wide as he looked me up and down. "Uhh...yeah." he said shyly.
"Well it seems we were both booked. I am actually a..friend of the groom and I cater so he chose me for the wedding. I'm sorry for the confusion." I said. "No not at all, sorry miss, good luck to you." He said, nodding and quickly getting back in his car. I laughed to myself and went up to the place, looking around to see if I could find Sicheng anywhere, sadly I didn't see him. "Miss, who are you?" I heard someone say. I turned around to see a cute boy standing in front of me, smiling as he saw me. "I was hired as the caterer for the wedding." I said.
He looked confused for a moment but shrugged before shaking my hand. "Name's Kun, I'm the groom's best friend. He has actually requested to see you to discuss what the plans are for the food and everything." He said. "Follow me, I will have to take you to them, they are actually here right now in the main room." He said, smiling as he gestured me forward. I followed him to the main area of the building and looked around as he walked in front of me, waving someone over. I stood behind him and waited as a few people walked over.
"Guys, this is the caterer for the wedding. She's here to discuss the plans for the food and drinks." He said. "She? I thought Hendery was going to be the caterer for the wedding?" I heard a girl say. "Actually, he couldn't make it so I'm his replacement." I said, stepping out from behind Kun. The moment I did, my eyes met Sicheng's. My heart began to beat fast as he looked at me, wide eyes. "Well it is nice to meet you miss-" the older woman said. "Courtney, nice to meet you." I said, shaking her hand and then the other's besides the girl standing beside Sicheng who was too petty for a handshake as she rolled her eyes.
Shaking hands with Sicheng became too much as he seemingly never wanted to let go as we looked at each other. "Um do you two know each other?" The girl said in a smart tone as she gave me a look. "No, not at all." We both said at the same time as we let go of each other's hands. "Um, can I use the bathroom before we get started? I just need to freshen up." I said, actually needing to go have a breakdown. "2nd door on the left down the hallway." Sicheng's dad said, smiling before walking off with the older woman. I assumed them to be Sicheng's parents at least.
The girl rolled her eyes and walked off to seemingly flirt with Kun, making me scoff before walking off to the bathroom, not wanting to make eye contact with Sicheng right now. I went in the room and stood there, trying not to lose it as I felt a bunch of emotions at once. I took a deep breath several times and left. The moment I left the bathroom I was caught off guard, pressed up against the wall. I saw Sicheng right in front of me and before I knew it, he was kissing me. I kissed back but then realized I was still mad at him.
I pulled away and slapped him, making him confused. The two of us had a stare down as he rubbed his face, trying to ignore the stinging. Damn his stupid beautiful face.
