Chapter 34

“Blake, Angela was not harmed at all.  She is traumatized, of course, as she did witness some things a child her age should not but she will be fine.  Once she has settled in, we will see about moving her to the room next to yours.  Until then, however, she is going to want to be around you some during the day.  Can you curb your player ways for a few minutes a day for her?” I ask Blake.  I am sitting in Mateo’s lap and trying to get Blake to calm down.

“They didn’t hurt her?  Are you sure?” Blake asks quickly, looking directly into my eyes.

“I wouldn’t lie to you about something like that Blake.  She is fine.  After Jesse’s exam, he met up with the other girls in the TV room and they are all watching Barbie A Fairy Secret with Angela.  They are eating and she is engrossed in the movie.  Why don’t you join them?”

“Yeah, thanks, Cici.  I’ll do that.  Um, yeah, as soon as she is comfortable with me, I will help her set up her room but until then, do you mind if I add a doorway to connect our rooms?” Blake asks, rubbing his hand on his neck.

“That is acceptable.  Raul, any objections?” Mateo asks Angela’s father.

“No, Alpha, it is your house and he is her mate.  I agree.” Raul says quietly.

Blake nods at both and walks out of the room.  I sigh, look at Raul and lean into Mateo more.

“Raul, both Angela and Celia were spared any physical or sexual abuse.  Roger’s men only implied the abuse to hurt you further.  I wish I could say the same about Ambar, Claudia and Jesse.  They will be starting therapy with Nicolas as soon as possible.  I think talking about it today will help.  Unfortunately, Claudia is pregnant though.” I stop as the growls from Mateo get to loud to ignore.  Raul takes a deep breathe, closes his eyes and holds his head in his hands.

‘Mateo, calm yourself.’ I say to him through or mind link as I rub my hands over his arms that are around my waist.

“Sorry.” he says quietly and stops growling.

“Raul, Nicolas is her mate and they have decided to keep the baby.  They are to be married as soon as possible and I believe Nicolas is talking to Father Martinez about a special license as we speak.” at my words, Raul looks back at me and smiles through his tears.

“Nicolas, he’s the doctor?”

“Yes, sir.  He is our pack doctor.”

“He is willing to accept the child?”

“Yes.  Now, as for Jesse.  Unfortunately, he was abused as well.  He will be meeting with Nicolas quite frequently to address his issues but Nicolas has assured me that all of them will be fine with time.”

“Wow, so my girls have found their mates, well accept Celia, that is remarkable.  Thank you for being there with them Luna.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.  I believe I will join my children in watching this Barbie movie, if you will excuse me.” Raul says and walks quickly out of the room, closing the door quietly behind himself.

“Holy shit, Cici.  That’s a lot to take in.  So Blake has found his mate, Angela, who happens to be five years old.  Nicolas has found his mate, Claudia, who happens to be pregnant.  They have decided to keep it and get married.  Those poor kids.” Mateo shivers slightly and pulls me even closer to his chest.

“Yeah, it was pretty bad.  I won’t go into details but suffice it to say, as bad as it was for the girls, Jesse had it worse of all.  What those men did to him, Mateo, it was horrible.” I shudder and growl as my mind envisions the abuse Jesse must have suffered.

‘Alpha, Luna, there is a strange vehicle approaching the pack house.  We have been monitoring it since it first came onto our land and it appears to be heading directly to the house.  What are our orders?’ Oscar’s voice speaks urgently in our head.
