Chapter 16
"And, another time, when we were both young, me, you and Lou all went swimming. Well, you two did. I was a little scared." I laughed at another memory I was about to share with my brother. I had been sharing most of our childhood memories with him for the past hour. Some he remembered, like, he remembered when our family and Lou's family all went shopping together. That was a disaster really. Us three ended up getting lost...
"Go on." He smiled. I smiled at the fact that he wanted to hear all these memories, he didnt just push them off. He wanted to know, and he wanted to remember.
"Well, we had been excited about this for weeks. And then, when it got to going swimming, I chickened out. I don't know why, I just did. You ended up pushing me in the pool, and then I ended up being fine with it." I laughed, followed by his laugh.
"I pushed you?!" He laughed, tipping his head back slightly.
"Yes." I giggled.
"Okay, we need you to leave now, Stan needs some rest." A nurse came in and called, I turned my attention to her, and smiled.
"Oh okay." I said, and turned my attention back to my older brother. "See you tomorrow Stan." I smiled. Before I left, Stan grabbed my arm, making me turn back to face him.
"Love you sis." He smiled. A smile played on my lips. Did he really just say what I just heard? I stood there for a moment, smiling big. I eventually came back into reality, noticing I hadn't left the room.
"Love you too bro." I smiled, and walked out the door. Louis was sat on one of the waiting chairs -and had been for a while- outside Stan's room. Once he saw me, his face lit up. I smiled big, and he rushed over to me.
"Louis, I'm so happy." I said, as he embraced me in his arms. I dug my head onto his chest, and closed my eyes.
"Why's that baby?" He asked.
"Stan said he loved me, and he called me 'sis'." I said, looking up to him
"That's great Rosie." He said holding me tighter. "So, what did you two talk about in there?" He asked.
He released me from his grip, and grabbed my hand in his. We both started to walk over to one of the waiting chairs.
"Uh, I was sharing some of our childhood memories. Some he remembered some he didn't." I said with a smile.
"Which ones did he remember?" He asked, his lips curved into a smile.
"Uh, the one where we went swimming, and he had to push me in, to actually get into the pool." I giggled.
"That was funny. That's a question I've always wanted to know. Why didn't you want to get in the pool?" He asked, and laughed.
"Uh, I don't really know." I giggled. "He also remembered our Parents funeral.." I said, a little less excited. The flashback tried to enter my head, and I tried pushing it off, but I couldn't.
*Flashback*
"Rosie. Stan. You ready?" Jo asked me and my older brother. My brother turned to face me, tears welling up in his eyes. My eyes started to fill with tears.
"We have to do this Rosie." Stan said to me.
"I know." I choked out.
Brother turned back to Jo, and smiled a weak smile. "Yes." He replied.
Louis came rushing in seconds later. He ran over to me and embraced me in his arms.
"Louis. I can't do this." I whispered out, a very quite whisper it was.
