Masamune: "What are you up to?" The whisper of my beloved's voice in my ear made my heart skip a beat.

Mai: "Masamune!" After lifting the hat from my head, Masamune embraced me from behind. A grin spread across my co-conspirator's face as he watched us.

Mitsuhide: "It took a surprisingly long time for you to notice us."

Masamune: "Geeze, why must you always meddle?" Masamune?  Masamune gave me a squeeze.

Mitsuhide: "You sound jealous, what a rare treat."

Masamune: "Whatever." Masamune returned Mitsuhide's amused grin with a nonplussed smile of his own. He seems to be acting especially aloof. I think that means his feathers were actually ruffled.  I was suddenly all too aware that Mitsuhide was watching us.

Mitsuhide: "You failed to remain undetected this time. But if you ever want to continue your spy training, you know where to find me." With a nonchalant wave of his hand, Mitsuhide left us alone. And an uncomfortable silence passed between us. How do I even start to explain?  Masamune didn't say a word, but his arms were still wrapped around me.

Mai: "Are you angry with me?" I wouldn't like it very much if our roles were reversed and he'd been following me in secret.  I turned my head so I could meet Masamune's gaze as I nervously waited for his response.

Masamune: "Of course I'm not angry." His expression softened and he stroked my hair gently. "I just think you're being cute." A wry smile touched his lips. "Though I had to work hard to act cool when I realized you were following me." My heart rate increased as I gazed at his handsome face.

Mai: "Don't be silly. You always look cool, Masamune." My cheeks grew warm as I thought about it. He really is so cool. It's almost unfair.

Masamune: "Only when I'm with you."

Mai: "Oh, come on. Now you're just trying to make me blush." I averted my eyes sheepishly.

Masamune: "You have some free time now, right?" His question caught me off guard and my eyes snapped back up.

Mai: "The only plans I had were seeing you tonight."

Masamune: "Then come with me now."

Mai: "Hm? Okay." I wonder where he's going next--  I was filled with curiosity as Masamune took my hand and me away.

This place--  Masamune took me back to the incense shop he had visited earlier.

Masamune: "This is where I noticed that you were tailing me."

Mai: "Oh--" I remembered a moment from earlier.
          Mai: "What was that?!"

          Mitsuhide: "Don't raise your voice, or Masamune will notice us!"

So, he really did notice us then.  As I thought about my blunder, Masamune pulled me into the store after him.

Proprietress: "Oh, Masamune? Was there something else you needed to buy?"

Masamune: "Yeah, kinda." When Masamune shrugged, the shop's owner noticed I was there.

Proprietress: "Could this woman be the one you told me about?" He told her about me?  Masamune pushed me forward so he could make introductions.

Masamune: "Yes, this is my special lady." S-Special lady?  Masamune's choice of words making me flush, I bobbed my head in greeting.
