"I'll be ok" ch.9

The past couple weeks all I've done is worry. I haven't heard from Michele I I figured he was still in the ICU. I don't know what to do. I know Michele is home because her car is in the drive way. So austin is all alone in that stupid hospital. Like he is every night. If I was aloud in the ICU I would stay with him. Even though he probably just wants out of there. I don't know how austin fells about me, actually he friend zoned me but whatever. But I wonder if he thinks about me at all...na probably not. But for some reason I want to go see him. I need to. I haven't seen him for like 2 1/2 weeks and it's killing me. So I get up out of bed look up at the clock and it reads 1:48am. I bet not a lot of people are at the hospital right now so I'm gonna see if I can make it to his room. Luckily the hospital isn't that far away. So I'm gonna walk. I know I'm crazy because I'm sneaking into a hospitals ICU unit to see a guy I like but hey....he's my friend😊. So I get my jacket and boots on, grab my beanie and gloves then quietly open my front door and start making my way to the hospital. On the way there I'm thinking of a plan on how exactly I'm gonna do this. And better yet what am I gonna say to austin? What if he's asleep...that would ruin my whole plan. Oh well.

I get to the hospital and check my phone and the time is 2:30am. So I sneak into the front doors and surprisingly there is no one at the front desk. So I run over to the elevator and press the 3rd floor. I reach the floor and walk slowly to the desk but the woman was asleep with her head down so I just walk through the doors quietly and start looking for his room. I think the woman said he was in room 274 when I was here a few weeks ago. I feel like these hallways never end. I see room 270 so his should be just around the corner. I turn the corner and I see someone walking out of there room. So I hide but then I noticed the crazy hair and he bracelet on his right wrist. He looked so bad. He still had bruises and cuts. Plus it looked like he had a broken leg. His eyes were puffy like he had been crying.

"Austin..." I whisper just in case someone was near. He turns around looking untill his eyes met mine. As soon as he saw me it's like all of his pain went away. It was like he had been wanting to see me. He smiled so big! I just wanted to run and hug him. But I didn't wanna hurt him.

" oh my god. Hannah!" He says as I walk towards him.

As soon as I reach him he didn't say much but he pulled me into the biggest hug. It's funny because he's been here for weeks yet he still smells like he always does. I tired to let go but he wouldn't let me. I know he had been needing a hug for a while.

"Austin I'm so sorry I haven't came to see you. They wouldn't let me up here and I didn't know how..." He stopped me in the middle of the sentence.

"Hannah it's ok I know. I tried asking mom to bring you but she told me only family was aloud. But I do know that you stayed here all day the day I was in the accident. And I wanna thank you for that." He says. And yes he's still hugging me.

"That's what friends are for huh?" I say looking up at him. He looked so tired and broken. Yet, he looked happy and relieved.

"Your more than a friend hannah. I just realized that. I have been depressed ever since I've been in here and now....now I feel so much better. And the day of my accident, I was on my way back to see you because I needed a hug from you. I needed you to comfort me because only you can make me fell like everything's ok. I just..I don't know what I feel. Like, I can't even explain it." He says looking at the ground then looking at me.

"Well you don't have to worry about that ok? I'm here now. I'm not going anywhere. Unless they kick me out which is a good chance unless we go in your room." I say smiling at him. He looks back and forth down the hallway and opens his door and we walk in. It's a small room but it's cute. It's kinda cozy because I guess his mom brought some of his stuff from home to put in here because he has to be here so long. Austin sits on his hospital bed and pats to the spot next to him. I gladly accept it and sit next to him.

"I know how much you wanna stay up and talk but I think you need some rest. And don't say your fine because I know your not." I say smiling at him than getting up.

"Where are you going?" He says

"Don't worry I'm just going over here to the couch."

"No your not. Come on." He says moving over and patting next to him. I give him a questioning look and he just smiles at me. I walk over to the bed and lay next to him. We lay facing each other. He just looks at me as he puts his right arm around my waist to make sure it was ok. I just smile as he pulled me close to him. I snuggle up into his chest and put my left arm around his waist.

"Does it hurt if I put my arm here??" I ask because I bet he has bruises on his side.

"A little but I'll be ok"

It's funny cuz were hugging laying down. And right before I fall asleep, he kisses the top of my head and whispers.

"Goodnight hannah"

SORRY I DIDNT UPDATE FOR A FEW DAYS!!! I was at my friends house!! Cute chapter am I right😊😊 uhhh I love it! Austin didn't exactly say he likes her buuuut I think he does😏😏 hope you guys are likening the story!! ILY😘
