It's that time of year.....prom season. To be honest I'm not a big fan of the whole deal. I don't like wearing dresses or heals and I don't like getting my hair or nails done. And besides....I dont even have a date. But today my sister wanted to take me shopping so we ended up looking at dresses. I didn't really see any dresses I liked. They were all to short or to long. Or the length would be great and the dress would be super ugly. UNTILL I saw the one I knew I was going to buy. It was so beautiful. It was black at the bottom and at the top was blue and silver sparkles (picture above or side). I take it off the rack and just look at it in awe. But I didn't want to buy it if I'm not going to prom.
"Hannah it's beautiful!" My sister said
"I know! But I'm not going to buy it because I may not go to prom"
"Well.....just go try it on. Just to see"
I take the dress into the dressing room after I give my sister my phone and purse and put it up to my chest and look in the mirror. I cant imagine myself being pretty in this. I strip down and step out of my shoes and put on the dress. As I slip it on I hear my sister answer my phone.
"Oh hi!......yes I've hear a lot about you.......well she is trying on a dress right now....yeah we're at the mall.....well yeah come to the store!....ok bye" she say hanging up.
As I pull up my dress I try to zip it but my arms are to short.
"Sis can you come zip me up?" I say unlocking the door for her to open it. I hear it open and bend my head down with my hair in my hand to make it easier to zip.
"You look beautiful" I hear a deep voice say. I look up to see that austin was the one who zipped me up. And I guess that's who my sister was on the phone with. He stands behind my looking at me through the mirror. Just observing how I look.
"Thanks. I'm not gonna get it though."
"What?? Why? you look amazing!" He says rubbing my arms.
"Why would I I'm not going to prom.....so I'm not gonna but a dress if I'm not gonna wear it. I'm just gonna change." I say then he walks out. I get done putting my clothes back on and my shoes and stepping out. I see austin talking with my sister as they wait for me to get done.
"So wanna hang out?" He asks
"I would but me and Brittany have more shopping to do and we have to go pick up my niece and nephew from there dads so I won't be home for a while"
"Ok well just let me know when you get home ok?" He says hugging me.
"Ok see ya"
We all walk out of the dress store and we say our goodbyes and we continue shopping.
"So you like him huh?" She asks
"What?"
"Oh come on sis it's obvious you have a crush on him."
"Ok yes I do. I always have I mean come on! Look at him! Not just that he's just such a nice guy"
"So why don't you ask him to prom?" She asks
"Because if he really wanted to go with me he would of asked me already. And plus he probably has a better date."
"Pshhhh what ever" she says as we walk into another store
(LATER ON THAT NIGHT)
It's about 10pm when my sister drops me off and I'm exhausted. I walk into my house and go straight to my room. I sit my stuff by my bed and tun on my lamp to see 2 bags on my bed with a note:
Dear hannah,
I know you said you wasn't gonna buy that dress today because you wasn't going to prom. Well I think you looked like a princess. So this is a gift from me to you. I can't let you skip out on your senior prom because you don't have a date. And trust me I know that's why your not going. So would you do me the great honor of going to prom with me?
PS: I didn't think you were much of a heel girl so I bought you different shoes! Hope you like them!!!

I was almost in tears. I didn't think he would want to go with me. I put the note down and took the dress out of the bag. It was still so beautiful! I look in the second bag and it was a pair of blue converses to match my dress! I put the shoes back in the bag and run up the stairs to run over to Austin's. But when I open the door he was standing there with flowers in his hands.
"So will you?" He says with a smile. I run into his arms and hug him really tight.
"Of course" I say kissing him on the cheek.
