My leg hung from the ledge of the garden, watching the puffy clouds float by. The robot chickens clucked behind me, but I wasn't in the mood. Frankly, I didn't know what I was in the mood for. The destructive nature father taught me was gone, and I had nothing to do. Noooooothiiiinggg to do.
Maybe I should've stayed with those humans that repaired me. Oh, what am I saying?! Even if they did, it was just a airport. Flying planes to destinations, then helping to land, then flying off, and landing, and the same thing over and over again. I would get bored there easily. But then again, this place wasn't any better. The humans stopped coming here ever since I took over a long time ago. It was just a jungle at this point. And I'm sure dad wouldn't want me back at the castle after my humiliating defeat.
Bored, I hopped off the edge and flew into the sky. The night was quiet among the clouds, but I guess it was a nice kind of quiet. The wind picked up underneath my propellers as I did a few flips. Then a corkscrew spin, falling a few feet with every turn. This was fun, the most fun I had by myself. I couldn't help but feel a little lonely even with the freedom I had. But then, a laugh along with the sudden rush of wind zipped by in the cloud I was surrounded in.
"HAHA, this is great!!"
"Ack! Who's there?!" I shouted, pointing my blaster in the dark abyss. Suddenly, the laugh dissipated. The night was no longer calm, my senses were up. Another rush of wind passed too close to my propeller, forcing me forward. The cloud swirled around me in this dark green color.
"Who are you?! Show yourself now!!" I shouted again. This time, a response came that seemed to appear everywhere.
"I know who you are. You're Gyroman of the Wily numbers aren't you?" It echoed. My propeller almost stopped in shock.
"How do you possibly know me?"
"Oh, I've heard a lot about you..." it whispered darkly. The green winds seemed to pick up, almost thrashing me around violently. "You invaded a garden and attacked many people for fun. How are you still active, and what business do you have near my station?"
"What station?! Last time I checked, the skies aren't owned by anybody!" I made a remark. Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms wrap around and throw backwards. A gush of wind pushed downward more. "Hey, I'm not leaving!!"
The winds cleared enough for me to see part of the intruder's features. He was green just like me, but a different shade, with a pair of wing-like appendages sticking from his helmet. He was clearly floating, but what was keeping him afloat? That didn't matter, he clearly looked angry.
"So Wily goes ahead and revives one of his robots and tell them to track me down? Did he tell you to persuade me to get back to his side? Help him get revenge at my father for being put away for scrap? 'Rightful Justice', he called it?"
"What? I never-"
"Tell Wily this." He interrupted me.
Suddenly, the winds all around me picked up and it felt like a tornado all of a sudden. Everything started moving in a circular motion, him going counterclockwise. I panicked and tried to steady myself to face this intruder. He was moving so fast in the wind, I couldn't see him. However, a streak of lightning passed, and I saw his silhouette. Taking me chance, I aimed a gyro cutter at him, slicing his cheek. He gasped and made a killer glare which sent a chill in my blood. He charged and punched me in the face. I used my feet to kick him off and slashed his chest a couple of times. Before I could make the next move, he raised his hand, a wave of air sending me into spirals. I yelled but grew silent as I saw the symbol on his neck. A little "L".
He's a Light bot!
In my moment of thought, he grabbed me and went for my back. I felt a piercing sting as he ripped two of my propellers off. I screamed as he suspended me in the air, hundreds of feet from the ground.
