Poem #2, Thin Ice

The tears, frozen from cruel fragileness, afraid to escape and shower like rain,

quiver in their obscure home, just to be blinked away in haste again

Light dances on thin ice, inner turmoil encased by waves of blue like clouds

beauty hovers underneath the surface, reflecting divinity in an attempt to mask the truth

But there's a crack in the ice, some kindred soul has broken through

and reached the shattered heart within, as the waters fall from the glass windows

you can see the soul once trapped within

Hope now shines on thin ice,as cold revenge struggles to surpass

and freeze again the warmth of love, searching but never enough to last

now the pain is in the past;

None can fathom nor recall, the transformation then beheld

A glass angel trappped by lies, now flies out beyond thin ice
