The rain fell hard down the empty and quiet streets as I continued running as fast as I could for my life.
My heavy breathing and beating heart were the only things that could be heard right now. I clutched my injured side as blood seeped through my hoodie.

I should be healing by now, what did they shoot me with?

"Where is she?!" Someone in the very distance shouted.

I jumped in surprise at the sound of Sir's voice and quickly turned a corner to my left, resting my back against the brick wall. My feet hurt like hell and not to mention, I was freezing.

"Shit." I cursed under my breath, throwing my head back. I didn't have much time, their footsteps could be heard from where I was, which meant they were close and they were going to get me.

I shut my eyes, taking in a sharp breath. They were closer than I thought and that scared me. I had to be extremely careful right now. I opened my eyes slowly and looked carefully around the side to see the two men with their backs turned to me. They knew that I was here and I had to get away from them as soon as possible.

Get out of here!

I listened to the voice inside my head and slowly started walking through the dark path, leaning on the wall beside me for support. The rain had become stronger and it made it almost impossible for me to see clear, but that didn't stop me from continuing. I had to get as far from here as possible.

I looked behind me to make sure that no one was following me and smiled when I saw that the way was empty. I was safe, I actually managed to escape them. "I did it." I whispered to myself in disbelief.

Tears of joy fell down my dirty face and I collapsed on the ground, bringing my legs near me and resting my head on them. I tried to catch my breath, my body was jumpy with all the adrenaline from running. I wiped away the tears with the back of my hand and then rubbed my palms on my jeans, trying to provide some kind of warmth.

"I hate them." I whispered.

I was tired and couldn't stay awake for much longer. My eyes were burning from the lack of sleep and my eyelids felt heavy. I really wanted to sleep, I needed rest, but I couldn't do it right now. I felt like I was still in danger and that made me force my eyes open every time they were ready to close.

After some time, the rain had finally stopped and the sun looked like it was about to rise. My teeth were chattering and my whole body felt numb, but being cold was the last thing concerning me. Actually, my attention was fully turned to the person standing in front of me.

His tall body was hovering over my tiny one and he had his arms crossed over his wide chest, smirk played on his pink lips. The longer I looked at him the more frightened I became and my heart was pounding faster with every move he made. He slowly knelt down in front of me and parted his lips ready to speak, but instead pointed his finger at me disapprovingly and chuckled darkly.

"Please." I whispered, backing away and I'm sure he heard me.

"I can't believe you. You really thought that you could get away from us, didn't you?" He asked sounding amused. "You should have known better." He continued. His tone was calm, but his eyes could give away just how angry he was.

"Let me go." I shouted at him, trying to look confident on the outside because on the inside I was shaking like a scared puppy.

He must have noticed it because my words made him laugh. "Look at you, acting feisty and brave when in reality you're frightened by me."

He roughly grabbed my forearm and forced me to stand on my feet with his body dangerously close to mine and my back pressed against the brick wall. I gulped and tilted my head up to look at him.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him, holding back tears. I wouldn't cry in front of him. I didn't want to come out as weak.

"Because you need to come back with us." He replied and smiled evilly at the end as he watched my shocked expression.

"No, please. Don't take me back there again, I don't want to go there." I pled. I tried to push him away from me with my hands, but it was useless since he was much stronger. And that angered me. "You monster!" I yelled at him with disgust and spat on his face.

He instinctively closed his eyes and turned his head to the side. I couldn't stop but think that this could be a great moment for me to run if he wasn't holding my hands.

"Bitch." He cursed at me, wiping the saliva from his face and looking at me with anger. But that expression soon faded and a smile was formed on his lips as he now started laughing coldly.

And with no warning started pulling me by my hand, forcing me to follow him. I fought back and yelled at him random things but he didn't listen, not that I expected him to.

"I'm not going back there. I hate you! I hate you! I wish you all die." I continued screaming at him and he looked back at me without stopping.

"Shut the fuck up."

"Go to hell!" I told him and just after that a loud sound of skin colliding against skin was heard and my head turned brutally to the left. A gasp left my lips as I touched my aching cheek with my palm, rubbing it softly. He had slapped me...hard.

My eyes filled with tears, but I didn't let them fall. He wanted to see me weak and vulnerable and I wouldn't give him that pleasure, not yet. "That might leave a bruise." He stated, frowning. He took forcefully my arm in his hand, throwing me like an object to the other man.

"She's the one?" The man who was holding me securely asked with surprise.

"Yes."

"But she doesn't look... special." He said and the man shook his head, placing one hand on the man's shoulder and with the other one forced my head up so I was looking at them.

"Trust me, she's special all right." He tried to force me into the van, but I mustered up the courage and lifted my leg, kicking him directly where the sun doesn't shine. He let go of me with a groan and clutched where I had kicked him.

Then I took off.
