Mei watches the figure drenched in dried pieces of flowers and leaves approach her. There was nowhere to go. Mei could run but was there anywhere to hide? Dead leaves and rotten tree branches scattered around the area. The dark clouds covered up the blazing sun. The fog made it hard to see far.

Mei always imagined Gaia to be a place full of harmony and love. Instead, it's a total dump. Dark Nature ruined this place. This land was consumed with evil. Mei covers her nose with her sleeve due to the awful stench.

"Hello," The clone stops its tracks and smiles.

"Who are you? Why do you look like me?" Mei stutters.

A sudden shiver brushes past her naked legs. She flinches and walks further away from the clone.

The clone starts running. Faster then expected. Within seconds, she was in front of Mei.

Mei jumps back and trips on her ankle. The clone catches her before she collides with the ground.

"Stay back!" Mei pushes the clone away and runs away from it.

The clone watches her leave but doesn't hesitate to catch up to Mei.

Mei turns around and the clone was gone.

"What the—" Mei turns back around and bumps into the clone.

She stumbles back and prepares her fist.

"What do you want?"

The clone doesn't respond.

"Who are you?"

No response.

"Are you some kind of guard for this place?"

Nothing.

"Speak! Please!"

"Little miss perfect," The clone finally speaks.

"Wha—" Mei stutters.

"You truly are blessed,"

"What are you talking about?

"There's always a dark side. What's your negative side like?"

Mei felt flustered. Why would her clone talk about this specific subject?

"I don't know, why are you asking me this?"

The clone comes very close to Mei. Close enough to feel Mei's shivering breath.

"Because I'm you,"

Mei goes on a full sprint. Unfortunately, the clone was faster. There was nowhere to run away from this scary creature.

"Why do you run away?" A dead tree root ascends from the ground and grabs Mei's ankle.

Mei didn't know why she was running. Her mind is telling her to run away.

Mei falls face flat onto the ground. Another root ties around her other ankle.

Mei tries her hardest to summon her powers, but nothing was working. A simple tree vine would do the trick of defeating this unknown creature. The roots drag her feet into the small hole they came from. The roots stand her up and alert more roots to tie all around her body. Mei tries to move her arms, but the roots tighten its grasp.

"Let me go!" Mei struggles to break free.

"Why? You're like me now. I was trapped inside you, feeling so hurt. I was unable to do anything. I was suffering. But nowhere I am. Out from that negative mind of yours," The creature sits in front of Mei and watches her struggle.
