Maki stopped and kneeled down. She was breathing heavy. She let of Nico's hand.

"I'm sorry," Maki whispered to her. She didn't know the members would get that excited

"No, it's okay." Nico grabbed Maki's hand and interlocked it with hers. There was a brief silence between them.

"Are you mad?" Maki asked stupidly. "I understand if you were-"

"No, I'm not," Nico interrupted. She stepped closer to Maki and kneeled down next to her. "I know I seemed mad but as I said, I was really happy."

It seemed like they were there for hours but it was only minutes. Soon there time together was interrupted by voices yelling to them.

"There they are, Nya!" The familiar meow made them both turn their heads. They saw the orange-haired girl running up to them.

"Want to go?" Maki turned to Nico.

"Yeah, I think we should go."

They both got up and ran hand in hand laughing.

"That was... exciting," Maki chuckled. She looked at Nico.

"I guess it was," Nico replied, out of breath. She took a big breath and exhaled. "That was a long run. I keep forgetting how fast Rin is. It's a good thing that you know your way around."

Maki looked at the tired girl. "Here," she got down, "climb on." Nico looked at her. "C'mon or else I'll grab you and we can do it that way."

"I'm good," Nico complied, getting on Maki's back. Maki secured Nico and stood up. Nico held tightly on her warm body. She couldn't help but close her eyes.

"You want to sleep?"

"N-no, why would you think that!?" Nico quickly opened her eyes.

"I know that you're tired, Nico. I may be an idiot to you but I know when something's wrong."

"Where will we go?"

"I want to take you somewhere special."

Maki started walking, taking Nico along on her back. Nico fell asleep, Maki's warmth making her feel comfortable and safe. Maki went on to her destination with the smaller girl on her back.

"Wake up Nico," Maki rubbed Nico's cheek. Nico stirred and open her eyes. She was greeted by Maki's purple ones. "We're here."

Nico found herself laying on a flat rock. She sat up and saw they were in some sort of cave.

"This is my secret spot. I almost took Haru here. I'm glad that I didn't." Maki sat next to Nico on the rock and wrapped her arm around her. "I'm glad that I get to share this special spot with you."

"What time is it?" Nico yawned. She rubbed her eyes.

"It's seven o'clock," Maki replied. Nico shivered. "Cold?"

"Very," Nico chattered. Maki pulled Nico closer to her and tried to keep her warm. "That's better."

"Here," Maki slipped off her jacket and put it around Nico. Nico hummed in delight. "That's much better yes?"

"Yeah."

They both sat in silence, enjoying each other's company. The other members wouldn't find them here, they were content with that. They held hands as the sun started to go down.

"Want to head back? I'm sure they're worried about us by now." Nico shook her head and placed it on Maki's shoulder.

"I want to stay here for a bit. I like it when it's just the two of us," Nico said. She kissed Maki's cheek and rested her head back on her shoulder. Nico felt her eyelids getting heavier and she let them fall, letting sleep finally take over once again.

"Sorry, but I don't want to leave you out in the cold." Maki carefully picked up Nico, bridle style if I might add, and carried her back to her beach house.

Maki trudged along to the house. Her arms felt numb from carrying Nico but it didn't matter, she'd do almost anything for her. Maki loved her that much. She loved to see her smile, to see her cute face when she got angry and pouted. Nico felt the same. Seeing Maki's embarrassed face was the sight she loved to see, especially when she herself teased her. Maki's red face cleared any doubts that Maki didn't love her, and, when they made love, how they would yell out each other's names before the came. Their love was something they took great care of, for it was something that could also be easily broken. If they didn't try then they wouldn't be where they were at now.

"Finally," Maki panted. She managed to open the door while holding Nico. Surprisingly, no one was in the house. They had the house all to themselves.

"Now I have to take her up the steps," Maki groaned. Maybe she shouldn't do everything for Nico, but she couldn't resist her cute sleeping face.

Maki walked up the steps, slowly but carefully. She went to the room that they were both staying in and laid Nico on the bed.

"All done," Maki panted. She wiped the sweat off her forehead and sat on her bed. She looked over at the sleeping Nico. "I love you so much." She laid next to Nico and looked at her sleeping face.

Maki hoped that they could stay like this forever.

"How could I lose her, nya?!" Rin yelled out. She walked back to the others feeling defeated. "How did Maki run faster than me?"

"Look there's Rin," Eli told the others. "What happened?" Rin had run off when she saw Maki and Nico and didn't give the others any warning.

"I saw Maki and Nico but Maki sped even faster than me." Rin pouted and crossed her arms, too annoyed to meow.

"You did your best and that's all that matters," Kotori said patting Rin's head. Rin hummed, making it sound like she was purring.

"That's my Rin," Hanayo cheered. Rin went and hugged her friend.

"Thank you, Kayo-chin." Rin snuggled against her and "purred" once again.

"I wonder how the others are doing," Eli wondered aloud.
