Maki walked with the rest of μ. She was trailing behind and sighing a lot. They were getting some last-minute things that they would need for their show.

"Maki!" She heard her name being called out suddenly. She looked up and found a black-haired, red-eyed girl staring at her. "You shouldn't space out like that. You could get hurt, ah." The girl then turned red and looked away. "Not that I care or anything." Maki blushed at the girl's reaction. Even though Nico could be annoying, she has some good points, right?

"Stop that Nicocchi, or else there will be punishment." Nozomi walked up and put her hands up with her famous washi washi.

"She's right though." Maki turned from Nozomi to the Russian walking up. "You can't space out when crossing the street. We wouldn't want an accident happening a day before the show." Maki nodded at her senpais. She couldn't let herself get distracted.

They were walking back now from their shopping errands. There wasn't much to carry so Eli and Nozomi carried the bags. Maki walked with her hands behind her back, looking at the floor, and trailing behind.

Soon, there was a big gap between her and her fellow members. She looked up and noticed them walking ahead.

"Ah," Maki uttered out. She started to run to catch up to them and called out. They turned around and yelled at her to hurry. She then turned to her left and saw a car speeding full speed ahead.

The last thing she heard was honk and a crash.

Maki looked up from where she was on the floor. She could taste the liquid running down her face. The rest of the μ members were frozen in shock. They managed to recover from their shock and ran up to Maki. Before they made it, Maki shut her eyes.

~~~
Maki opened her eyes slowly. She then startled up. Some of her body was bandaged and there was an IV drip in her arm. She looked around but the sudden movements hurt her head. She laid back down on the hospital bed and closed her eyes.
"Maki?" She heard a familiar voice say. She looked towards the door, moving her head as little as possible, and saw a raven-haired girl walk in. Her face perked up when she saw her.
"Nico?" Her vision was still a bit hazy but the blurred person looked like Nico. The person started running and slammed into Maki. "Uf," Maki groaned out. Her sudden body slam hurt the bruises and aches all over her body. Maki then felt wetness on her hospital gown.
"I thought y-you were g-gone. I didn't kn-know what I'd do if you d-died," The raven-haired girl cried. Her tears rolled down her face and her sobs filled the room. Maki rubbed her back awkwardly and lifted her head up. She didn't know what else to do in that situation.
"I'm okay Nico. I'm alive, I may not be unharmed, but I'm alive." Nico looked at her before her eyes closed halfway and she started crying again.
"I'm so happy your alive Maki!" Maki held her as she cried into her shirt. It didn't matter, Maki just wanted her to smile.
Soon, Nico stopped crying and waited with Maki until the doctor came.
"Maki?" a voice outside ask.
"Come in," Maki yelled in reply. The person came in. Maki's eyes grew wide before she mentally slapped herself. Of course, she's here, it's our hospital, Maki thought.
"I'm glad we were able to save you, Maki. I don't know what would happen to me if I lost my only daughter." Mrs. Nishikino went next to her and kissed the top of her head. She held her hand before turning to Nico. "I think Maki might be a little thirsty. Could you get her some water, Nico?"
"Yes, ma'am. Maki will have her water soon, Nico Nico Nii." Nico did her signature pose and left to get Maki water.
"Listen, Maki, that accident wasn't that serious," she started, "but you'll be hospitalized for a while so we can make sure you're alright."
"Well, then there's really nothing I could do except get better." Maki shrugged and laid down.
"That's not all I wanted to ask," Mrs. Nishikino smiled mischievously. "Is that her?"
"Is she who?"
"Is she the one, the one you talked about before?" Mrs. Nishikino smiled at how Maki quickly sat up. Maki was blushing profusely.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," she tried to deny.
"Aw, my daughter has her first crush," Mrs. Nishikino teased. Maki crossed her arms and looked away.
"I do not have a crush!" Maki yelled.
Suddenly, the door opened and Nico stood there with a pitcher of water. "I have retrieved your water, Princess Maki. I thought I heard you yelling." Nico poured Maki a cup of water and handed her the glass. She took a sip, still thinking about what her mother said. She put the glass on the stand near the bed.
Maki found looked over at the raven-haired girl. She stared into Nico's red eyes looked at her mother. Her eyes then traveled down her body.
"Uh, Maki?" Maki quickly looked up. "Where were you looking?" Maki blushed and shook her head. She twirled her hair and looked down. What her mother said was getting to her.
"I think you should be going Ms. Yazawa. It is getting late and visiting hours are almost over." Mrs. Nishikino got up from her chair.
"Oh alright, bye Maki." The small girl waved to Maki and gave her a Nico Nico smile before leaving. Maki felt like she could finally breath not being in her presence.
"I should leave too. Goodnight Maki," Mrs. Nishikino called out before leaving the room. The lights then turned out. Maki groaned, she already knew what that meant. The lights turned off at 9 pm every night.
Maki then pulled down the blanket, she didn't need to as anyone could see it without pulling the blanket down. She had to put my arms on it in an awkward position while Nico was here. She sighed and looked at it. How do I take care of this, Maki groaned.
