Maki's Accidental Addition

Chapter 17: The End

"What did you do after she pushed you out of her house?" Hanayo asked Maki.

"I just went to school. I didn't want to bother her since she wasn't feeling well and all," Maki nervously said. "I hope she's alright."

"Maybe after practice we can all go and see her, nya," Rin said. Hanayo was helping her stretch. "Ow, wait up Kayo-chin, it hurts."

"Oh, sorry. Here, let me help you."

"No, I don't think that's it. She would have been more . . . sluggish? Maybe she has the flu," Umi said tapping on the side of her head.

"She didn't seem to have a fever." Maki slid down the wall and clutched her head. "Am I supposed to be this scared?"

"That's what it's like when you don't know what's wrong with someone that you love and you can't help them," Kotori said kneeling down next to her. "I'm sure that it's nothing and it'll pass. Until then, keep her comfortable and try not to make her angry."

"Um, alright? How exactly do I not make her angry?" All of them looked around, unsure.

"Maybe just do whatever she tells you," Honoka said with a shrug.

"But usually what she wants to do is . . ."

"Ah, I see," Umi said. They all thought for a while, unsure of what to do.

"Maybe you should be more romantic, I know I would want someone to sweep me off my feet," Hanayo said with a cheeky smile.

"Like this?" Rin picked up Hanayo making her yelp. She spun her around slowly. "Nya!"

"Ah, Rin!" Hanayo yelled out feeling embarrassed.

"That's not a bad idea, but knowing Nico you'll have to take it a step further," Kotori said with a worried look.

"What do you mean by that?" Maki asked worried as well.

"You might have to propose to her, nya," Rin popped out from behind Maki.

"Propose? That's sudden." Maki twiddled with her thumbs. "Not that I wouldn't though." Maki looked away, her face red.

"Aww, that's sweet, Maki," Kotori said making Maki embarrassed.

"Shut up," Maki said crossing her arms. The door to the room opened causing all the girls to turn. In walked Nico, Nozomi, and Eli.

"Hey," Eli greeted the girls.

"How is practice coming along?" Nozomi asked after. All the member's shocked faces turned into ones of happiness and they rushed to Nico.

"Nico, are you feeling alright?" Maki asked first. Nico looked into her worried girlfriend's eyes.

"Yeah, I'm feeling better." Maki pulled Nico into a hug.

"Don't worry me like that again." Nico wrapped her arms around Maki. "I'm glad you're okay."

"I have something to tell you." All the other members watched in anticipation. Maki broke their hug.

"I have something to tell you too. I know what I really want." The other members could feel their loving aura coming off of them.

"Maki, what I'm going to tell you is going to shock you." Nico turned from Maki. Maki looked at her in a confused dazed.

"What I am going to say might shock you too. I want-"

"I'm pregnant." The whole rooftop was silent. It was an uncomfortable silence. Maki stared at Nico with wide eyes, her mouth agape. The other members looked at Nico, then Maki, then back to Nico. Nico stared intently at the ground, her mind showing bad outcomes.

"Nico," Maki whispered. She walked forward and lifted Nico's head up. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I wasn't sure yet but now I know. I want to raise this child with you Maki." Nico's face hardened. She gripped Maki's sleeves and looked her straight in the eyes. "Don't you agree?"

"More than agree, I want to marry you," Maki blurted out. Her face turned a shade of red. "Ah, I didn't mean to rush into it."

"Aww, Maki," all the members teased. "Getting married and having a kid, that's so sweet."

"I want to marry you too," Nico said giving Maki a bear hug. Maki blushed a bright red.

"I can't wait."

Oh my god, I can't believe I actually finished this story. I had a lot of fun writing it and I know I need to work on writing some things to make my stories interesting. Some people may not be excited about the ending I chose but there is going to be a little epilogue for y'all.
