Deep breaths.

Repeat.

I couldn't wait for the doctor to come out and tell me what's wrong.

If she needs blood, I don't think I'd be able to help, I have O negative blood group. It's very rare.

Five minutes later, the doctor came barging out of the room looking very tensed and worried.

"Doctor, doctor, what is it?"

"She has lost a lot of blood, where did her head hit during the time she was driving?" He asked.

Guilt swept over me as I thought about the time she had the accident and I was noticing her presence.

"I think it hit the window several times,"

Because there was blood on the window, and how could there possibly be blood on the window and nowhere else.

"Okay, we need blood,"

My blood ran cold.

What if we don't find blood in time?

"W-which group?" My voice trembled as I stammered.

"O negative-"

I let out a relieved breath which I didn't know I was holding.

"but it's a rare-"

I cut him off immediately.

"My blood group is O negative,"

"But we need her family's permission and some documents to sign on,"

I didn't know what to do about that.

Did she have a family?

I mean, obviously she would, but she never mentioned.

Come on Blake, do you even remember how many times have you talked to her...

My inner voice reasoned.

Okay ughh.

I quickly called dad to ask and tell him.

"Hey dad,"

"Hi son, how's the trip going?"

"Dad I'll tell you later, right now I have an emergency,"

"What happened Blake, are you alright?"

"Yes dad, I'm perfectly fine, but could you text me Liana's family's number or something?"

"Liana, as in Liana Robert Valdez?"

"Yeah dad,"

I was getting impatient now. Ughh.

"I haven't met her family or anyone that I know of, why?"

"Dad she had an accident, and they have to do blood transfusion  into her body and for that they need permission and signatures on some papers,"

"Uh okay, that's...uh, tell them that she has no family and that you're her close friend or something and I'll talk to them, which hospital are you in?"

"It's 'The city hospital,'"

"Okay I'll just give them a call and see whether there's something I can do,"

"Thanks dad,"

"No problem son, goodluck,"

After we hung up, a nurse came towards me and smiled flirtariously... not interested. Right now.
